I give up on whats going on here.

Part of me wants to believe this, but the other part also thinks Mbappe's comments last week about De Jong & PSG's ruthless approach to transfers in general (I'm sure I read leading up to the Mbappe transfer on PSG stating they had no intention to buy him before they actually did) is too much of a coincidence.
