Buy them for €75m each on five year deals, with amortisation that’d be a total of €30m a year which, conveniently, is the allowed excess as long as it’s covered by your owner ;)

BingoHas it mattered ? Players will come to us or players won't. What I've learnt is the one that chose us tend to end up being better players than the ones that don't. It's all about the coaching.
Ajax I presume are wanting between £70-100m for this guy, so I can see us walking away, he has great potential but not at those prices imho.
I could be wrong mate, but with his club saying this club is interested, that club is interested, it seems like they want top dollar, and I just presumed those prices. I think City interest has cooled in this lad, just my opinion.Wow. Now I can see why even Barca are unwilling to meet that price.
The public nature of the discussions and the coverage in De Telegraaf suggest to me that de Jong will head to Paris in the summer. The player is simply reiterating what he has said all season: focusing on Ajax and seeing out the campaign. PSG are thus just continuing their policy of spending massively on the cream of world talent. Whether that talent can make the transition from cruising through Ligue 1 to winning the Champions League, however, remains the question.
I personally don’t think FDJ will head to Paris. Neymar went to Paris for a number of reasons, wanted out at Barcelona (not sure why), his father has an incredible thirst for money, few clubs could or would pay the buy out - so for Neymar to leave Barca it was literally Paris or Paris. Mbappe was Young, he offered crazy money and a move to Paris was literally move home. FDJ has more options and I think the lure of Pep or Barcelona will be a draw for him. He’s gonna get huge money wherever he goes so a premium to play in France May not be enough - I think the lad will want to test himself in Spain or England. Incidentally I think Paris will struggle to hold onto Neymar and Mbappe longer term when Madrid comes calling.
