Don’t know not watched much of De Jong, does he read the game well intercepts balls and make runs forward? One of many Fernandinho’s attributes is his interception and run to lay it of for one if wingers.
He’s far better at bringing the ball out than Fernandinho. He’s like a cross between Busquets and KDB.

Fernandinho is 33. He doesn't have "a couple of years"-
We've played him in almost every game this season which makes me think it's more likely there's a plan to bring someone in in January to give him a bit of relief.

FDJ has everything in his locker, this kid can fit right in.
Just think our midfield is sorted for the next 6-10 years with FDG, Foden & KDB.
