Next season I see the 6 being Fernandinho, KDB , Silva , Bernardo, Gundogan or Foden, plus one of De jong, Ndombele, Neves.
The season after Fernandinho may be replaced possibly by Gomes don't know how he's doing in the EDS. Silva will go then too but if Foden has established himself maybe someone from the U18 could become the 4 th choice I know Doyle is talked about a lot dont know a lot about him, and Bernabe looks a decent prospect. I can't see us making two big signings for midfield next summer, none of the 3 mentioned are going to wait for Fernandinho to leave while being third choice behind De Jong.

Not to me it seems to me we are going after an agreement with De Jong in January and Ndombele is a plan b if he signs somewhere else. I 'm not convinced Ndombele will move in January either if Lyon in the C/L.

Can we have a midfield next year of KDB, Silva, Bernardo, Foden, Fernandinho, FDJ and Ndombele? Something tells me that FDJ is talented enough to play multiple spots in the midfield. I think Ndombele is exceptional and would offer immediate help for THIS year, and FDJ in the summer. But that would certainly create a log jam at the 6. Be interesting to see how this plays out.

On another note, I think that we can fit three number 6 because Fernandinho is so versatile and Pep trusts him in a few different positions. I could also see him transitioning to centre back if he plays with us another 2 seasons.

I have seen this posted several times - Can you explain how we achieve this whilst he is still on contract and may not want to leave?
 
I was frustrated to miss our in Jorginho but if it means we end up getting this kid then I'll be over the moon. He's absolute dynamite. And the fact that Arthur is doing so well at Barca means maybe they won't push as hard as us for FDJ.
 
I'm watching him now vs. Feyenoord and he's the best player on the pitch by a mile.

Shame about Feyenoord going down a man so early - I tuned in after the red card, legitimate?
