and begging their contracted players to take pay cuts so they can sign more players?!? lol. Its a fucking shambles and they need saving from themselves!

They are not though are they, the players have agreed to those contracts, the deferred wages and pay cuts.

My guess is that if players agree to defer their wages then Barca haven’t broken a rule. If a player hadn’t agreed and didn’t get paid then that would be serious. There must have been a time period set where Barca agreed to pay the players their deferred money by that is fast approaching.
 
I’d insist on getting the £17m back pay from Barca. Matter of principle really, they agreed to pay him the money, so they should. And as he doesn’t really want to move anyway…

Hence they are trying to sell those players. Tried it with Dembele 6 months before his contract ends (as he reportedly had a lump sum repayment at the end agreed) he stood his ground. Trying it with DeJong now as his wages increase above his initial agreed rate to make up for the cut over the last couple of years. etc

So rather than a specific end date more over the duration of the contract.

Talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul. What a mess. Why a player would go there knowing the state of the club financially I don’t know. I know they’re a huge name but they couldn’t guarantee their own wage.

They 100% shouldn’t be allowed to do that though, just jeapordizes the clubs future for the sake of saving face.

I see the narrative is now being altered to him having no problem signing for the Rags if he has to leave Barca.

I guess the Rags are going to pony up some extra to offest his wages.

Just one question though, how much is he getting paid to be owed £17 million??????????
 
Barca and United are so funny these days. Frankie must wonder:
Why do I need to cut my salary while the club is after a 63mill player?
Why do I need to go to United to play football on a Thursday night?

Who ever would’ve thought these two clubs would end up like this. Well the media didn’t. And still doesn’t.
I love it. Media darlings. UEFA and FIFA darlings. True examples how a club should be run. And we should know. We’ve been there before.
