He is,but the above qualities are what we get to see most of as often he is competing with KDB to be the conductor.

I've wondered if that's one of the reasons he may move on.
It's not just about the better climate but also about the freedom playing wise he may get at Barcelona

He's so much more than that

He is obviously a top level technical player but so are the majority of the players in our squad. His workrate, tenacity and the dog in him are what set him apart from the rest of our midfield.

He doesn't want to live in Manchester.

Could FDJ's next club just be waiting for Barca to tie themselves into even more knots before coming in to get him. Even if he's at the same price it could make sense but possibly as Barca become more desperate they could get him a lot cheaper.

I'd imagine Chelsea or PSG are his next destination but maybe we are just biding our time.

Three things I'd like to draw your attention to and the inital two are linked.

Firstly, you've named less than half the squad.

Secondly, I'm not sure you've grasped the definition of the word "majority".

Lastly, are you talking about Bernardo de Silva or Bernardo van Silva?

If he goes to Chelsea it's annoying on three levels: (1) He makes them much stronger, (2) I'd love him at City as I think he'd be perfect in our team, and (3) I'm guessing there'd be more chance of Barcelona being able to afford Bernardo.

Well said, He is everything you want in a midfield player, Easy on the eye with the ball at his feet he's ridiculous, His passing, Drifting wide to create overloads, Chips in with goals, Defensive duties ect He's basically every managers dream.

Watching him skip past 6 scousers and leaving Van Dijk on his ass at Anfield was sweet!

We've already got Gundogan who is a far better direct comparison to FDJ. We have no one like Bernardo and more importantly with that swap nobody to cover KDB.

I would say that de Jong is probably better than he's been able to show at Barca, considering the cluster f that they have going on. I will give him some respect for how he's dealing with those jerks, though. Why wouldn't they have to live up to the deal that they signed him on? It's crazy.

Bernardo is a much more effective player than de Jong, currently, but I think Frenkie can improve in the right situation. And if Bernardo just has to leave, I'd be happy to do a swap with Barca for de Jong, but there better be some more remuneration coming back our way if that is going to happen, either in players or money.
