Actually UEFA allow this by " big teams " due to their status , whilst upstarts like City should be so grateful to be linked with these giants of the footballing world - even if we are obliged to give our players away as a consequence.

As much as he’s a good player I’m not sure he’s really got defensive attributes to backup Rodri/replace Fernandinho? He’s never managed to displace Busquets as Barca’s 6, he plays alongside him.

With Gundo, Bernardo, KDB, and potentially Foden, Grealish also competing for those 8 spots it doesn’t make sense to me unless someone is off.

McAtee plays a different position, so can't imagine so. Doyle and Lavia are promising prospects, but all due respect, De Jong is in a different stratosphere to those two; so that won't enter the club's thinking if we do pursue him.

i see this sort of thing constantly, will signing x block one of our youth players, to tell you the truth i want the best player for the position, if that means we cant get someone from the youth in the team then im not bothered, but if the youth player is good enough they will get their chance, people were very vocal about phil on bluemoon,that hasnt turned out too badly
