Despite the many opinions expressed by BM posters, you are absolutely correct and the professionals are the best ones to make such decisions.
Yeah, the youngster needs ten times harder to impress Pep to be considered part of his world class team. Some like Foden is generational talent that have an easier path to accomplish his goals, but that doesn't mean he slacking off, ofc he still works hard to earn respect and get his spot in first team on daily basis. Others in academy that have lesser potential needs to understand, this is how professional football works. There's no easy way going to first team from academy.
Every team in the world does the exact same thing and City is no different on that. Don't expect hands out, keep working hard and eventually the manager will see some use on you and give a chance.
