Friday lunchtime pints

WFH Fridays , London is quiet up town Fridays.
Thursday is when everyone lunches and doesn't go back nowadays

The 90s was great for this where we worked. Pub right next door to the office (Nags Head - not ran by that rag twat back then). Hour and half in there, back to ‘work’ then an hour later back to the pub.

Oh to be young again.

When I've been working at Tower of London all the pubs rammed Thursday evenings (most evenings). Our old manager used to say as long as I checked IT helpdesk voicemail every 15 mins and responded to anything urgent he was happy for us to stay in pub

I've always driven to work so if I'm in the office it would be a pint or two at a Friday lunchtime, go back and pretend to work then drive home. But you'd have the taste and it was horrible having to stop!

Will sometimes organise a meeting in town on a Thursday lunchtime so I can have a few - prefer a Thursday as then I'm hungover on work time not my own.

At some unnamed central Manchester prison, on a Friday (or Saturday/Sunday) lunchtime you couldn’t leave the pub till your Senior Officer said ‘right let’s go and unlock’ sometimes around 2pm
