Ajay Backs Hughes... following his appointment in place of Gary 'Bottled It' Cook.
This massive vote of confidence from one of ADUG's most influential players comes as a huge surprise to many outside observers following the Hamburg humiliation which brought a swift end to City's season [both this one and the next]. However, owner Sheikh Mansour has been quoted as saying 'We all believe in Ajay and so should you!'. So much so that a new 'Ajay Law' is being apparantely being drafted in Abu Dhabi to make any criticism of Ajay punishable by a lifetime of banishment from all of the Emirates and, of course, the City of Manchester Stadium. One lifelong supporter who now faces such a ban was quoted on a fans' internet forum as stating that 'I have been aware of the Ajay fanatics for some time and it has now come to the point where I daren't even turn on my computer, let alone attempt to watch my team play. So much for free speech!'. That fan has apparently now switched his allegiance [and sport] to Sale Sharks where no such Ajay effect exists, not yet anyway.
