As a chauffeur for a Premier League footballer
The player lives in Alderly Edge and it's a two hour journey to the midlands to his club
It's a left hand drive car!!
Who do we reckon, as it must be a WBA or Villa player!

Also, part of the job is that the chauffeur must be at the player's house a good 20 minutes before they have to leave to warm the car up....... seriously

well if you have the money to afford a chauffeur it makes sense to make sure the car isn't freezing before you get in it.

I am assuming its someone who we or them have sold to a midlands club recently but I can only think of Richards, Lescott and Sinclair and I have no idea why they would have a left hand drive car.

Lindegaard (sp)

Seems the most likely answer, however depends upon how far afield footballers live from the club they play at I suppose. Gestede has moved to Villa from Blackburn, he might have lived in Alderley Edge having been at Blackburn. That Illori guy has moved on loan from Liverpool to Villa too.

Also there's the possibility that the player has just decided living in Alderley Edge is preferable to living in the Midlands, so it's not someone who used to play for a NorthWest club, it could be a new, foreign signing, who just wanted to live in footballer nirvana rather than the black country!

Which is the original meaning in French. Chauffeur (from chaud = hot) means stoker as he was the man who stoked up the engine to make the vehicle ready to drive.

Makes perfect sense to me. More Prem players should have chauffeurs. A years wages for one would be less than half your weekly wage. If you're driving a couple of hours to training every day, it's better to be stretched out in the back relaxing. It would cut down on the amount of players who get done for drinking and driving too.
