Friends of UEFA

The point raised by an earlier poster that the tickets given allegedly to friends of UEFA always seem to end up in the hands of away supporters is interesting.
If these seats are actually demanded by UEFA then how come they are always occupied by away support? This arrangement does not appear to be reciprocal?
Could it possibly be that as City rarely sell out the early rounds the club are making these seats available direct to the away club, maybe at inflated prices, with the added bonus that the seats will not be left empty. Just a thought.

who will certaito the away team at inflated prices.
Fairly certain that it is a uefa rule that a section of the best seats have to be given to away fans , and this has been the case when city have played away .

Those seats in 93:20 were almost exclusively occupied by Liverpool fans last time out. Similarly in previous fixtures against Gladbach, Dortmund and Celtic, to name but three.
It's not a case of us not selling out. Season ticket holders are moved out of those seats to make room for them

City don't have a choice as over 1,000 may be requested, or 1,012 plus the UEFA reps. IF you want to play in the shit comp you need to follow the rules. No choice but to move season tickets holders.

Corky. It still doesn't explain why the majority were acquired by Liverpool fans last time out

Most sponsors are multinationals and have UK workers who want to go to the game, and they probably have enough scousers to fill them.

So how many rules and subsections of each rule do they have?

UEFA a shit organisation running a corrupt competition.

I sit in 93:20 East Stand 207 now (was turfed out of 127 Colin Bell for the tunnel club t**ts) and last seasons champions league games were a joke. There's no way all the scousers that were in our section were given tickets from sponsors. Clearly bought them. Probably from sponsors selling, mind. Seriously considered not bothering with the Champions League this year as a result of last year, but then why should I not go because of the UEFA muppets.
