I just don't get the ref putting Groves in a headlock, no right to do that at that point, no questions about it, that is not what a ref should do

Why don't they ask this bloke how two judges could only have Groves 1 point ahead. The stoppage can be justified, the judges scorecard can't.

Do they not do standing counts any more? If they do the ref should have just given Groves a standing count then realised he was ok to carry on. He was totally with it when the ref was stopping it.

You're right. If groves had gone down (as froch did in the 1st), or taken a knee he would of had a standing 8 count then been back in the fight.
