Front man!

A lot of people have highlighted that we need a proper front man, a real target man! Someone to have the ball played in to his feet or chest from the midfield or supporting attacker and hold the defender off, keeping the ball, laying it off, flicking it on, play it back to our playmakers; a good finisher, tall, fast, strong, technically good, tactically aware, everything you'd want your front man to be!

Ive come up with a short list of realistic names who we could buy and a few hopefulls!

I know there are loads of strikers out there like Eto'o for example who is a top top striker and goal scorer, but he's already at a club that he never needs to leave and certainly not for City! But these guys are no mugs, they are better than Crouch, Carew, Jo!
 
What about Vagner Love ? he's not a bad striker and I bet he'd love to come to England.
 
I've been saying this for a while, Karim Benzema would be THE best signing we could make this summer. Whether we can get him or not is another question but the manager and owners should pull out all the stops to secure his signature.
 
All I hope and pray every night is that Hughes doesnt sign another sicknote. We have enough players made of glass, so no to RSC or Carew, thank you very much.

You reading this Hughes? Inch thick folder on each player my arse, all you would need for those two is a prescription....

In terms of a target man I think Dzeko ticks most of the boxes (excellent in the air, excellent finisher, holds up play, creates, is available). Wolfsburg have a very direct style with which he is the focal point with Misimovic and Grafite playing around him. Much in the same way Villa are at their best when Young and Agbonlahor play off Carew. We can replicate that with Robinho, Ireland, SWP etc. People overlook that he also has about 10 assists too. Excellent team player and somebody who would give us something different up front.


Benzema obviously but there is no chance of that happening.
