Fulham (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

That was a Christmas period game a few weeks early!

A game like tonight’s gets the blood and heart going, can’t wait for the next few weeks. We will find out where we stand league wise in the coming month and by the time January comes have a fair idea what we have to do, bearing in mind we historically do well each and every season from this period onwards.

Come on City, let’s fucking make the cunts cry even more…

Why people are calling out others for being worried ? Liverpool started with 5 wins and then look what happened. We are actually riding our luck and defending like shit against relegation side, and soon our luck will catch up to us the same way. Every attack against us feels like a goal scoring chance and its worrying.
We don’t get much luck against Villa and the Geordies and ride our luck a bit against Leeds and Fulham. Swings and roundabouts.

We were piss poor against Leverkusen

Best match of the season to watch. Impartial watchers will have enjoyed every minute. City and Fulham fans will have shared heart attacks throughout.

As Arsenal and Liverpool fans say every time they scrape a 1-0 win... that's how Champions win games.

Score at least one more goal than the opposition and take home all three points.

Onwards and upwards Blues!
What do arsenal know about been champions.
They haven't won it in years

Same again, some magical moments and some nightmares.

I think the football we've played at times shows we definitely have the right players (on the whole), it's just a case of them getting some backbone when they need it. I would say we crumbled at times tonight, crazy stuff.

It feels like we were screwed by VAR again too but I've not seen replays of their offside goal. The whole thing around offsides and City seems weird at the moment.
Never looked offside.

I'm going to try and be more like you:)

But please not so much of a **** ;-)

I was seriously laughing with the wife as we collapsed tonight, when he made the first 2 substitutions I thought AGENT PEP but I just let it slide and it's invigourating.

I'll be sat in my seat on Saturday slowly watching the game through the eyes or Peter Sallis in an episode of Last Of The Summer Wine.

When Sunderland score I will think to my self.

"Oh dear".

It's just all so fucking passive.

A city team of a few seasons ago whether winning 1-0 or 5-1 would be focused on dominating the ball. Essentially boring the opposition to death, whilst asserting our dominance over anyone we played.

Now? We sit off way too much, we're bizarrely way less arsed about winning the ball back. Let them pass it wide, let them run off us, let them get balls into our box, let them fucking shoot.

There's just so little control from where we were not all that long ago.
It starts with our centre forward
If he can't close down, then everyone should retreat to the half way line to condense the play instead of the terrible press that every opponent now plays through

That's how I'll see it in the morning, I think. Too much of a headace at the moment. It can make you so ill being a City fan, I've been one for over 50 years, but when we were s**t, I don't ever remember feeling ill with the pressure of it all because there was none. Since our first PL win, sometimes the pressure is almost unbearable. Daft isn't it?
100% agree, I’m the same
