Fulham (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Took a few days off my life that. Unbelievable the way we flip flop between total control and total chaos!

We are missing the options of Rodders and Kova - they would have been ideal off the bench tonight.

Telling how many positional changes we has to make to accommodate the subs.

Fuck it though, would have taken the 3 points before it started.

Good to see Reijnders score and play well, Foden mint and worked his cock off. Another night the big man has a classy hat-trick. Cherki was class off the bench.

Mate we're on a football forum discussing said entertainment we've just seen.

Should well be robotic happy clappers thrilled with the 2nd half performance we've just seen?

It was diabolical from the manager and players and we're allowed to be frustrated with it
It would have been diabolical if we’d drawn or lost. But we didn’t. And we nearly scored three further times ourselves; for one of them, we hit the post at 3-5 from a superb cross from Savinho and a good header from Haaland, an inch further left and that’s 3-6 and nobody even bats an eyelid at the subs or the loss of momentum and swing of momentum in the game.

Almost directly from us hitting the post at 3-5, they went up the other end and scored. Just one of those things. As Mancini used to say, ‘iiis football’.

Pep has lost his bald mind.

Big, BIG questions need to be asked in the summer. Our players are FRIGHTENED of making any mistake or taking ANY responsibility in case it goes wrong.

You have to ask who has put that fear into them. You have to ask why our second half performances are so poor after spending 15 minutes with him. All the good form and rhythm we had before the international break has gone. It comes back to one man.

The same man who insists on playing Savinho while Marmoush sits on the bench and Grealish bangs goals in for Everton. He can have the season, to see where we are, but this is Wenger 2009 territory for me and the club has to decide.
Frightened of making mistakes!

Didn't show as most were making them in that second half.

Agree on Savinho but sadly, Marmoush has that performance in him too!

Both are unconvincing to date.

I'd have Grealish over both of them.

Yep Pep City legend but was always unsure if the 2 year extension was going to work
Maybe he should have walked away whilst still at the top
This is one of those situations where the manager gets the blame despite the players being bang average. Like Mourinho at United, or Conte at Spurs. Maybe even Wenger at Arsenal in his latter years.

Pep is the best manager in the world. I'd imagine when he goes we will drop off massively because his brilliance and expertise is dragging up a bang average squad. With a decent squad he wins trebles and 100pts. With an average squad he get's UCL football and cup runs.

The idea of Pep leaving to be replaced by some mythical, better manager doesn't wash.

Honestly the only difference compared to last season is we are riding a ridiculous amount of luck this season. What on earth was this again?
No such thing as luck, or we could say that with luck it should’ve been 12-6.

Some great goals tonight, from both teams. Let’s enjoy what we seen, and understand that there is an issue in the second half of games.
