Fulham (A) Post Match Thread

Sadly it was more than one or two.
Sometimes I wonder if we are all watching the same game.
I was in the matchday thread for the Everton match ( forgot to check Amazon ! ). It didnt make good reading lol.

I watched the whole match the next day on Amazon at least I think it was the same match as it was nothing like the matchday thread !

City always seem to play three games. The one in the match day threat, the one the media report after and the one I actually watch.

They seem to be three different games.
And you can add to that the game you watch in the stadium. Watching football live is like night and day compared to TV. The emotional connection of being part of the crowd changes everything. I have come away from hard-fought 0-0 draws (especially away from home) with my nerves shredded. The TV experience (especially with biased commentators like Tyler) is shit compared to the real thing. You can't understand how brilliant our team is unless you can see the players' off-the-ball movement across the entire pitch.

i always have a peek at half time.it always makes me think ive been watching a different game
I've never considered posting on a thread while City are playing because I'm concentrating on the game. I suspect most of the ones that do don't know or care very much about football so that's why the comments are so divorced from reality.

Mrs London can never understand why, having been out of the house for 9 hours to watch a home game, I then watch it again when I get home. I have explained that things like penalty claims, close ups of fouls, bits of skill etc ate things you don't get at the ground.

'So why go at all?'

Because there are things at the ground you don't get on TV. You can see the whole pitch, you can see what the whole team is doing. You can see when Aguero stands in their D from a goal kick. You can see two or three passes ahead.

And also, when you listen to what Tyler has to say, you realise you were watching a different game after all.
