Against a side who had only conceded two goals their last seven games, we started with seven changes from the previous outing playing in a new shape.

We started with a very rusty Aguero, a confidence shot Torres, our third choice left back, whom all three got to play a full game, a referee who gave every 50-50 to Fulham, yet they didn't cause any serious threat (except for the last minutes) and we were completely in control the entire game, and we come out of it with three points, both our main strikers got goals, and we kept a clean sheet.

Add to that, we had no injuries, we didn't have to work our socks off, we got to give the two best midfielders in the PL (Kevin and Ilkay) , the most in-form winger (Riyad) and the best young player in Europe (Phil), a rest with an upcoming CL game early next week.

That's absolutely fantastic, and it took us 17 points clear at the top and it will take something catastrophically miraculous for us to not win the title.

Some of the comments on the match thread, especially from the first half, were border line shameful.

Great win. Was worried during the first half. 3 at the back just doesn't suit us because our midfield is our strength. But got the job done tonight.

Sergio scoring again was such a perfect moment. Hope he can continue to find fitness and sharpness and keep scoring.

Rodri seemed a bit overwhelmed in the system. Garcia remains a donkey that we should have sold last summer. Poor touch and just so weak. Get him out the squad.

Fulham have some great players and I hope they stay up. We seemed to struggle with their physicality at times as well.

League title pretty much done now barring us turning into Sheffield Utd.
 
Great result, especially with a weird formation and changed starting XI. First half was shit, but the second was good.

So good to see Sergio score again, and good finishing from Jesus and Stones who was superb again.

Ref was shit, despite giving us the penalty. Gave almost every coming together as a free kick to them.

Three points closer to the title!!!
 
Another big 3 points. No injuries and even a rare (albeit short) rest for Dias. Only negative Torres really, presumably short on confidence and may be another slow burner but for now offers precious little.
Really chuffed though, one step closer.
Remember the Dippers? Hahahaha mind the gap

Mendy was solid too, which is good to have in a squad player.

Mad to think that Arsenal now can’t finish above us, unless they make up 36 goals. They’ve got 11 games left!

Thanks for making the point about Sergio and 14 months. I too was sick of hearing it. Was going to say the same thing. Mind you, won't stop them saying he scored for the first time last Saturday for the first time in 14 months.
