Fulham biggest ever city support at Etihad

if you're coming over in the week beforehand you could try just popping down to Carrington, even if you're just stuck in the car park you might get to meet them when they're leaving training, I saw a few fans do that on the last Inside City video on the website.

I was thinking along those lines on the Friday. Danger though is if they don't get to see them..not sure I want to take that risk as that might put a dampener on it for them. What time do they normally leave training?

No idea mate, I've asked someone who sometimes goes to watch training so hopefully he'll be able to help and will post something in here for you so you could get an idea.

There were definately a few fans in the car park getting pics and autographs in the last inside city vid so if you could manage it I think it would be great for your lads, but we'll see anyway. If I were in charge I'd give you VIP passes but alas Sheikh Mansour was the lucky one haha.

Good luck anyway and enjoy your visit, hopefully we make it worth it on the pitch.

sold all the top tier and 1 and a half blocks of the lower tier normally allocated to away fans so 46500 plus blues

Well...I'm sitting here in Canada getting grief from my 2 boys to take them to a game (they're 6 and 7)

So...fu#k the expense...I've just bought some tickets and flights and will be there for the weekend...just to watch the Fulham game!!!!! Flying in on the thursday and out on the monday

Will be my 6 year olds first game

Typical...I grow up in Manchester when we're sh#t...and now I'm away !!!!

All the moaners...give it a rest...you lucky b#######

Brilliant! I hope the lads realise how lucky they are. Even if their dad is a glory hunter ;o). Seriously though reading posts like this is brilliant. Good on ya!

I'm the worst hunter in the world. 30 years of it and I've only just found it?!?!

;-)

The lads are still in shock...I told them we were going to be watching city next week. The youngest asked 'on telly?'.
I said 'no, for real'...
'For real on telly?'...
'no for real in Manchester'...
'For real in Manchester city!!!'
'Yes'
"On an aeroplane?"
'Yes'
"On a big aeroplame!!??"
Yes...cue wide eyed amazement and once the realisation set in lots of jumpimg around.[/quote]

I've been reading all the posts about your trip and I bet your lads just can't wait.

I first took my son to Maine Road at the age of 5 (v Wolves in the old 1st Div) after he'd mithered me for ages. At half-time (a bit bored because he couldn't see most of what was going on) he said 'Is that it Dad, can we go home now ?'. Needless to say I made him stay until the end and the inevitable 0-1 defeat at the hands of Robbie Keane.

By the time we'd got back to Carlisle he'd obviously re-lived every moment of the day and said 'When can we go again, Dad ?' That was it. Hooked for life. He's been going with me week-in, week-out ever since.

From one Blue Dad to another, have a great trip all of you, and milk every moment. The time will never come again, but you'll always remember it.

Hi 01manc, normally training starts at 11 and ends around an hour or so after, you can wait at the gate for the players to leave and possibly sign stuff, they seem to do it properly behind a barrier, there are always a few people there and you are allowed to wait, as you would understand some of them don't want to sign, but you should get some if you persevere, maybe suggest some warm clothes though it does get rather cold being stood around waiting. Good luck, at worst me and Doug will sign something for you! :) I'm certain you will get to see some, when I hear what time training is I'll let you know by pm. NMT

Thanks NMT. I will see how they're coping with the jetlag on Friday. We would need to leave at about 10.30 which is 3.30am per our body clock. Hopefully they're running on adrenaline and we can make it.

Yours and Dougs autographs would be a big bonus

Re the cold...it was -37 here last week..so .we've got the gear for it

Regards

Just to perk you up a bit more, I'm going to the Fulham game with my two daughters. We get to about 5 or 6 home games each season despite me living in Switzerland. The good news is they are lucky charms. The last time they were at a game we lost was 5 april 2008 against Chelsea. I expect a high scoring win on Saturday followed by an hour in a traffic jam :-)
