Fulham (H) - FA Cup Round 4 Post-Match Thread

I love the guy, he is a genius and serial winner and under him we have played some of the best football I have ever seen played in my lifetime. He fails badly though in this criticism and he has done it before. I wish Ian Cheesman or someone who can get close to him would explain this to him.

Or even perhaps whoever is paid shitloads to actually do this as their job but fail miserably at it.

Maybe he did.

He was asked and said it was not full (factually correct and quite visible) and that he didn't know why. Hardly an attack on our fanbase.

Not sure what people are whinging about. Pep gave a matter of fact answer to a question.

Don't see why he shouldn't be disappointed with the turnout. I know I was disappointed not to see more people in the stadium but that is not a dig. I traveled up today from Oxfordshire but I also decided that I won't use my ticket on Wednesday (someone will though). I do understand why people don't go to games like this but it's still disappointing when the ground is not full.

You can certainly understand why Pep is hoping for a better turnout for a Derby and wants our support to get behind the team.

There are clearly a lot of underlying factors that aren't specific to city here, but ultimately the best and most successful team we have ever had played a game where one stand was quite visibly and obviously empty and we got out sung by Fulham. It's not the end of the world, and I hope people will be up for it on Wednesday, but I'm surprised other people aren't a bit more frustrated by that.

Although we cantered to a 4-0 win thought it was a laboured performance , just wasnt clicking in the final third and when they went down to ten men it really spoiled the game as a spectacle , would never complain about a 4-0 win though , job done and into the 5th round and some of our big players receiving some well earned rest.

People are whinging because Pep seems to be whinging. Of course there will be a better turnout on Wednesday. That's why a lot of people weren't there today. Hardly rocket science and for a clever man he should realise that.

He was nigh on faultless I thought but I've not checked his stats.
I've noted Pep saying he is faultless and I was watching him today. Always looks very assured but of course today was not much of a test for the defenders.

I don't think City's defence will have a easier game all season.

The players are professional but a full ground driving them on can only help. It was disappointing to see so many empty seats although we know the reason why.

I listened to what Pep said too and I think he is just giving a footballing answer. For a coach producing wonderful football it must be disappointing not to play in front of a full atmospheric stadium but that's not to say there aren't reasons.
