Fulham (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

the second goal we conceded is a sight to behold. to call it sunday league defending would be a compliment
Stood on the penalty spot with all the time in the world to trap it, pick his nose, have a sarnie, swivel and despatch the ball into Eddies onion bag, somebody not doing their job

Akanji at their first goal

Honestly I get sick of comments like this. Piss poor! FFS, City had 20 shots (more than anyone is averaging this season - and we have the most shots per game at the moment), almost 60% possession, 91% pass completion. That is not poor.

We got caught on transition by a beast of a rugby league player and had some difficult moments against a good team who are in form but still couldn’t beat us and lost for the 17th time in a row against us, which is a record in English football.

There was in fact more good than bad from City.
The result was great. The performance not so much. I would struggle to write a list of all that was good though. Eddie, Josko, Doku’s cameo….

Still trying to figure out what he did on Traore's first breakaway. He had position and the ball at his feet. Seemed like all he had to do was pass back to Ederson. He really effed that up. He gets too easily knocked off the ball and that's my biggest critique of him.
a weird shapeshifter like the Leeds goalie last night

7 games in and unbeaten, only one point behind the Chicken mourners even with the shocking injury list we have.

As the late great Genghis Khan used to say to his men before battle: Man the fuck up !!

That was the best game Fulham have played this season. And Howe said publicly last week that Newcastle's game against us was the best they've played this season. That's what happens when you're the champions. It's a kind of compliment.
But we're still there, nicely tucked in. And I'll tell you what — we may not be quite firing, but both Arsenal and Liverpool have got cracks that are papered over to some extent. Interesting season. Any one of three could win it. No-one else has got a cat in hell's chance, in my opinion.

Chelsea could be dark horses if they tighten up at the back. They have a huge fairly young squad and a lot of quality. Villa possibly though the efforts of Europe could hinder them.
