Fulham (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Just a question, because I wasn't at the match (and haven't watched it through yet). Was the banner at SS1 loud and proud? Nice and visible to the world?
It was unveiled just before or as the teams came out. Pep definitely was out before it was taken down just before kick off. He was made aware of the banner before the game, whether he actually looked over towards out was hard to tell.

Whilst I agree with what @paulchapo and @hammocity have said I can’t in all conscience say that we will or won’t win the PL this season. Partly because I’m hopeless at making predictions but mostly because I’m of the generation that is just so thankful when we win a game!! :-)

However one thing I will say and I am adamant about is that every single player on that pitch today both City and Fulham gave 100%. I was going to put City and the Southern Softies but I couldn’t bring myself to insult a team who came to give us a game and they honestly did give us a game.
I’m glad about that because we needed the ‘work out’. But I reiterate they all gave us a game to remember. It’s a long time since I came away from a game not convinced that we were head and shoulders above the opposing team.
Today Fulham played well BUT so did we. Not one of our players was ‘bad’ some, and I’m not naming names it isn’t fair, weren’t as good as usual but we got value for money today.

Thank you City. Thank you Fulham. I enjoyed that game. I never once thought we would lose but there were a couple of times I thought it might be a draw.

Apologies for the ramble. :-)
To add to your great post.
It was definitely a game played in the right spirit.Very enjoyable indeed.
Also it wasn't a dirty game full of fouls and diving (other than a pull back on Foden in the 2nd half ).
The proof of that was the fact that there was only a total of 6min additional time.
Thank you Fulham for playing football today!

Just read a comment by ZeeZeeTopFulham in the graun, putting to shame the rag Jackson's report.
Way more balanced than our resident blumoaners, wet fannies and flappers. Should I link it?

Cheers, I don't go on their football comments anymore and hadn't seen ZeeZeetop Fulham for a while before I stopped visiting. He/She was always a decent poster who was very fair to both sides in their match reports. As you say far better than the guardian reporters. I don't include Jamie Jackson in that as most people on here are better than him.

Mind you if Bernado had made it 4-1 we would have been able to relax for the remainder of the game, shocking tame effort by him.
The radar of Haarland, Gundog 'n Bernie need the calibration tweeking a touch. The worrying aspect of our play is not getting stung and strung at the back it's the number of good chances that go begging and the game ends up on a tightrope when we've clearly been the better team. And we must have a new record of conceding first - Ipswich, Brentford and now Fulham!
