Bit of a side note but does anyone else think if the weather was good yesterday we’d have scored 6?

It was cold and pissing down all night, ball was skidding around and that just isn’t particularly conducive to silky attacking football.

The weather can make it a level playing field, but what I noticed is that players got heavy legs like it was a mudbath. Modern pitches are normally good and don't hold much water, but last night the pitch looked very heavy and wet

For the first time in a long time, Pep had room for rotation and the bench looked solid. The changes did change the flow of the game and managed to keep the clear sheet so all good

Motd a waste of time with danny gargoyle and Alan slaphead, presumably Foden should have a lengthy ban, be tarred and feathered, then ritualistically be disemboweled????! Imbeciles.

Presumably Tony Semenyo didn't have his hair pulled in the penalty area, which would have been at least a red card .......

Selective ignorance certainly shapes the particular narrative you want to show.

Anyway sounded a good team performance, particularly in first half. Semenyo getting pelters, not involved, next thing you know, he nets! Guehi already seems outstanding, him, Ruben, Khusanov with Nunes, RAN and Nico OR, with big Donna behind, impenetrable is the word!

Nico's goal was fab and such a great passage of play, lad's got such a high ceiling. Phil was very unlucky a couple of times, but hopefully on an upward curve.

For a big man who doesn't touch the ball, Erl scores a fking ton of goals, level as our 4th joint highest scorer with Colin Bell. Fitting.

Usually drenched where I sit, wasn't too bad last night. In a row nearby there was puddles all over the floor and on the seats, lucky they were empty.
