Fulham (H) Post Match Thread

I didn't know much about him before he arrived but, and it's early days, but he appears to be almost exactly what we needed, given that it is in fact almost impossible to get the complete player for any position.
Being only 23 is a massive bonus too.

Exactly.

If people want football from the 80's and 90's buy a time machine. Otherwise this is the reality of modern football and Raz going down to win a penalty for us needs to be applauded not vilified.
If it's England and its Kane its applauded. if it's sterling its boo

There are so many examples of diving in the Premier League, they should focus on the cases where players dived and weren't fouled.

The Mane clash with Walker was more of a dive than Sterling's yesterday. MOTD just like the entire media plays to the gallery.

Our penalty yesterday was soft, but if we were firing like the last couple of seasons and had put more of our chances away yesterday, then we wouldn't be having debates over the penalty.
I don't want to be saying "if Salah, Mane, Martial etc can go down so softly for penalties then so can Raz"
No i just want us smashing teams by converting more of our chances into goals and leave the the usual suspects of the dark arts in the Premier League to carry the stigma of being dirty fucking cheats, your Mane's Salah's Martial's Grealish's Fernandes etc.
Remember kids these players cheat and won't be going to football heaven. So take heed.
Pep is GOoD

Sunday sermon over.

Struggling here with my boo boys for 12 months it's been rodri and gundog together then mahrez cancelo and stones and mendy, I feel a bit quality booing them now,
Have moved onto my ex favourite player laporte now :+)
Great being a two faced fan isn't it :+)
Good choice there, mate. It pays to get in early. Posters are already picking up on his transition from world class top bloke to cheese-eating surrender monkey.

Where are all the Pep is overrated, the P/L has figured Pep out, I wish we had Mancinni (I like Mancinni BTW - but he's no Pep), our current squad is not world class, let's replace our squad with a bygone Dzeko, blah, blah, blah, haters...?!

We're off to a slow start - granted - and we somehow keep missing chances in front of goal.

But the fact is that we've an extremely deep and talented squad, led by the best manager in world football, backed by a management team that is both capable and supportive of Pep.

We'll finish first or second in the P/L this year - and next year, given a normal summer transfer window, I anticipate that we'll win the league and be very well posed for a UCL title as well.

Fcukinn nnailed on then. Thannks for your innsight.

God give me strength. We start winning games again and now the narrative is Sterling is a diving ****. Only on this here forum would you find that kind of shit.
No narrative, but it was a huge talking point from the game and a topic of current sensitivity throughout the game.Sterling has always been quick to hit the deck, this isn't news.

The problem is the double standards involved.

Agreed.

That said - Sterling seems far less inclined to hit the deck this season and last than in previous years. Pep's influence IMO.

Thought Fulham looked ok in the second half. Progressive and attacked with some intent if no product. Hope I can visit Craven Cottage next season

At the time it seemed a crazy tactic, but in hindsight it made sense. Can be a risk bringing a player off bench when they aren’t completely warm and loosened up. I’m sure Pep will have told the players that if any of them felt tight then they should indicate a requirement to come off.

I think KDB was getting tired and it seemed like Pep thought that but he clearly wanted him to do 90 minutes if possible and then presumably have a complete rest from games in the week. I fully expect KDB to be one of the players who isn't even on the bench midweek.

I imagine there is less risk of injury having players play 90 minutes and then miss a game than it is to come on as a sub in cold weather.

Fulham have actually been good since they got their late transfers in. They havengone from conceding 3 goals a game to just over 1 and they are finding their feet a bit.

The way the 3 below them are playing, they should stay up.

Well, that's a comfort.
