Fulham (H) Post Match Thread

Is that another game won with Gundog and Rodri both starting?
Haters gonna hate.
All about getting points on the board.
They didn't seem to play as a double pivot today. Rodri was dropping in between Dias and Stones to allow the full backs to push out wide.
Gundogan (my MOTM) was always available and kept recycling the ball further up toward the half way line. It doesn't matter that some balls go back or sideways, the Fulham players were chasing shadows. Kev below his mercurial best today, statistically still good but some passages of play seemed to pass him by, or the ball would squirm from under his spell.
Seriously, they weren't at the races, but when they play the Scousers next week, if they play like they did second half, they may steal a result.

Looks to be getting there again now he’s playing out wide.

He is our top scorer this season after all (+ 2nd most assists).
He looks nothing like it to me, far better today yes, but first decent game in a while, which is why he hasn't been playing I suspect, glad he scored, because I think it was getting to him a bit.

He's not starting "every game" for a f**king good reason, he's being looked after, he's 20, he plays a whole season every 3 or 4 days (including pointless internationals), and his body will be f**ked by his 20's like rooney/owen were, prone to injury, slowing down (or in rooneys case coming to a halt).
Also, he is still quite light. Remember Trevor Francis, Norman Whiteside etc.

Why not ? He could get minutes mid-week then play, I expect he'll be on the bench at least.
He's not ready for a ten minute run out
Hope your wrong mate because we need to be on top form next week

We are just hitting our stride
If we convert half the chances we will create next week we will run out extremely comfortable winners

And it always takes Aguero three or four matches to get back up to speed, so even if a miracle does happen this week he won't be anywhere near match sharp

Not read the whole thread so apologies if someone already mentioned it, thought Tosin had a really solid game today. Pleased for the lad.

Actually, if you look at average positions in recent games it's more 2-4-4 but I'm gong to include the full backs in the defence.
I think we've been predominantly 244 since Pep arrived when we have the ball, with the full backs either tucked into midfield or bombing past the "wingers" who cut in, it's more 352 when we haven't the ball, but it's why I enjoy it when we are playing well.

John Stones looked like he'd been up all night but could play all day. Glad the back pass to Ederson didn't seem to phase him. Been championing him for a while partly at first to wind my cousin up but now he's starting to live up to my hype. Dias could be one of our most important signings - mad go think he wasn't first choice.

We beat 2 of the teams I feel will be relegated in the last to league games and beat them well, but next week is the acid test. United are a far better side then many on here give them credit for and a point at the swamp would be a good result. Season of transition, top 4 and a cup would be a good season. Dias looking like the leader we need!

Proper chuffed for stones, really think he has the potential to be consistently top class and a regular for us. Didn’t put a foot wrong again today.
