Fulham (H) - Post-Match Thread

I know some people probably think I’m naive or soft or what have you but I think anybody who plays for City is pretty special!!

I’m just watching Final Score and they are being very complimentary about us!! But, but, but JOHN BOY SCORED!! Yyyeesss he read my post earlier!

Plus we scored from a corner. Wow, my cup runneth over as they say.

If I can’t watch the game I don’t read the match day thread because the couple of times I have I’ve been convinced that we had gone back to typical City and were going to lose! So I just wander around the house clutching my scarf and saying come on City, come on City until the 2 hours are up!! (Yes, you can all sit there laughing but I’m not good at not being at the match!!! And not ashamed to admit it!) :-)
I bet you wear lucky undues and sock to Eccles....hahaha.

My heart rate goes up mate, it normal.

He's been fantastic and we've all been there thinking that a player isn't fitting, then the next season!!
Grealish could well be the latest example. A quiet/underwhelming/poor/shite* first season. Same as Cancelo, Gundogan, Rodri and Mahrez. And none of them have turned out too badly.

*pick your own adjective, I'm sure they've all been used on here about him!

It's probably easier to name a player who adapted in his first season.

Dias?

Players that took a season? Rodri, Walker, Laporte, Berni, Gunny, Aki, Bravo, Mahrez, Jesus, Sane,

and most of them turned out to be pretty special.
hmmm nit so sure about some of them

Walker was always decent and adapted well...he has got better (much better) bu he was solid from the start.
Jesus played well from the start..his finishing hasnt improved but his overall play has always been good

Laporte looked good from the off

Bernardo...this ongoing narrative that he didnt dapt....Pep hardly played him...Grelish has more minutes than anyone I thnk.....so they arent even comparible

Grealish also has lots of prem experience which the likes of Rodri, Laporte Gundogan Jesus and Sane didnt have

He is also older than some of them

Grealish at present is the one player that is underperforming on a regular basis..he isnt bad but he aint at the same level as the others at the present and it stands out a mile. Mcatee looked better when he came on.

Only one player hit the ground running that I can remember and that Ruben.

The rest were fit's and starts, but the season were brilliant.

Can I just say that the reactions off the spaniards watching the game near to me couldn’t understand why I was saying fuck of you ****. I was going to do a search on who was the co commentator on Bein sports then came on the after match thread and thought yep that’s the ****.
