Fulham are one of those sides, like Forest, that are arguably more dangerous when they’re on the road. They’re going to play deep and break at pace and in Smith Rowe they have decent bit of craft. Of course there’s also Adama Traore who saves his best performances against City. Silva has done a great job there, quietly making them a dangerous side. They were doing well against us last year until Ake’s goal and then they fell apart.

It will be a good test of how we cope without Rodri. Against a deep defence we’ll need to move the ball faster than against Newcastle and Arsenal. We’ll need to defend better against runners than we did at Newcastle. Foden being back should help us without KDB.

We should win but we’ll need to be on it from the start, too many early goals conceded this season at home already. Would like to see more of Grealish and Savinho with Bernardo in the middle. If Kovacic starts he’ll need to be better than last weekend. Definitely think Lewis should get a run at right back, he doesn’t have Walker’s pace but he’s so much more effective going forward.

My first post/comment on here... a bit of a prediction for tomorrows game. Here goes nothing!

Off the ball I think we will be quite compact, flood the midfield. Jack and Phil tend to be the wingers we choose for this system. Without Rodri, I think either Lewis/Stones will always be on the pitch to support Kovacic. As Stones played 90' midweek, I would expect younger, healthier Lewis to be the choice tomorrow (or maybe 45' each?). This also lends itself to the wide-pairings in attack that Pep tends to lean on when facing teams who are likely to sit deep and look for counter opportunities. Expect to see Lewis up and around Foden, and Bernardo drifting out to give Grealish an option on the ball.

Akanji/Walker is a bit of a toss up. But as Walker only played about 15 minutes midweek, I've taken a punt on him. Akanji would obviously be a more natural choice at centre-half, and whilst he is quick enough, we may see Walker in there to combat the pace of Adama.

Overall, hopefully we will be confident and comfortable in possession, with pace at the back ready to fend off any counter attacks. Inevitably, final score City 0-1 Fulham (Adama 90+3).
