Fulham Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

"What's bothering me at this moment is Garcia.
I'm affraid he's an absolute waste of cash since he brings no improuvement to our squad and seeing he's already 25"

Kinell, give the lad a break. Big (lol) boots to fill but he just needs a bit of time,
and he'll come good.

Always a difficult ground for us to play at, so I was pleased with the result, thought everyone lifted for today, was a great way to respond to all the media garbage we had been copping just lately, I was pleased with how the team responded during the match, I thought the back four was a bit more settled, and David Silva had a good game for us, so did Barry, Garcia, Aguero and I was glad Dzeko got the winner for us..................

Can I just say anybody who thought that fulhams penalty was the correct call need to get to specsavers.

It wasn't the correct call , but the Fulham player made the most of Zabaletas minimal contact ...... but Zabalata didn't need to do that , another City player was close by and could possibly have covered.

Nastasic also looked confident and his clearances and distribution was good. Very calm unlike Savic. Looked calmer than Kompany today. Can't say that he played better though.

Kompany looked dreadful in that opening half hour , but did improve later ..... early on he was late with challenges , and half asleep !

He took a few games to warm up last season too.

Nasty is looking good. Money well spent. Feel bad for Lescott though, he was half of the best partnership last season and now loses his position to a 19-year-old.

Garcia struggled a bit , he can make more of an impact than he's currently doing ..... but it's early days for him , and he'll get used to the Premiership in time.

What's bothering me at this moment is Garcia.
I'm affraid he's an absolute waste of cash since he brings no improuvement to our squad and seeing he's already 25, he should be in his prime years by now, which is disappointing.

He's definetely struggling here right now , and i think the pace of the Premiership has taken hil by surprise ......

It think he's great, this league isn't easy on the newcomers, but he looks composed. Him and Barry are like a mirror image in the middle of the park.

My only criticism is that he plays it safe a bit too much instead of looking for the forward pass, but that will come with confidence and play time.

I think Garcia has done okay - yes the game looks too quick for him but he will get there and he hasn't let anyone down - at times he fades a bit but that will come.

Major result today, i think that's the start of a good run for us, that was a typical key-match performance.
Silva and Zaba men of the match imho.
Silva at last getting closer to his former self. He hardly lost any ball, confident in his dribbles and always an available solution in spaces. The next step for him would be to improuve his final ball delivery.
Zaba 's workrate was first class as usual.

What's bothering me at this moment is Garcia.

It really shined today, we played a bus-parking-team, and as a deep lying MD, he brought nothing new to the table ( comparing to NDJ and Barry ).

A bit soon to be writing Garcia off, give him a chance.

Garcia is a tidy footballer the problem is he has no pace getting back into a defensive position takes him to long

I thought Garcia already looked better than last few games - he needs time to adjust to EPL but will come good IMO. You can tell he's got the D factor :-)

I cant believe Nastasic is only 19...this lad will outplay his countryman in his best days for the Rags...great career ahead of him.

You'd have to say , that after that first 30 minutes today , City dominated the game and Fulham then only threatened on breakaways ..... that late save from Joe Hart from that snap shot was one such occasion.

Silva was outstanding , probing , passing , shooting .... definetely approaching his best today.

But the team in general put in a lot of effort there , and fitness levels were good , even late on ....... some of Citys passing and movement was top notch , and Dzekos late finish was world class , it knocked the stuffing out of a very resilient Fulham defence .....

that finish couldn't have been bettered by Messi !
