It says a lot when we have supposedly gone through a 'bad patch' and we come out of it unbeaten in 6 games having gone to three of the toughest away grounds in the country and played Arsenal at home.

If you look at last season, we drew at Craven Cottage, the Brittania and Anfield so I'd say we're on target.

Now we have:

Sunderland (H)
West Brom (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Spurs (H)

If you swap West Ham for who they replaced last year, Wolves, then we took 11 points from those games last season.

I think we should aim to preserve our unbeaten run and take 11 or 13 from those games, then things will look a lot better.

With 3 of the next 5 at home I'd hope for 5 wins, and with todays win, it evens us up with last season after the draw against Arsenal, would like to see the Chelsea bubble burst though.

Sure we can all hope for 5 wins, but this is the Premier League, and getting 5 wins on the bounce is rare because anything can happen no matter how well we play, refs can make howlers and teams can get lucky.

We should never expect to win 5 games in a row, because that is the sort of thing that puts pressure on the team. Those away games aren't push-overs and Spurs are always tough. I say let's just take it one game at a time and see how we go.

Can't afford to worry about Chelsea just yet though, there's a long way to go and we'll have to see if they've got the legs.

Edin comes good again. Never understand why he gets so much hate. He's never going to be a Messi type player that everyone will wank over. He is what he is, and he carries himself well.

Watched the game whilst listening to Palace on the radio. Very good performance and the defence was much better. Shocking penalty decision and made worse by not giving the Tevez one. Still the Tevez one was not a pen, but the Riise one was a booking for diving. Unbelievable decision.

Silva was fantastic. Worked hard, tackled back carried the fight to Fulham. Great on the ball and kept the game ticking. Toure had a good game too. He dropped back into midfield to help dictate the tempo of the play. Despite scoring Aguero had a poor game. Tevez was poor too and was rightfully subbed. Balotelli made a difference when he came on. Good on the ball, very clever movement. Quick passing and a physical presence from crosses. Clichy and Zabaleta worked well and were solid enough. Zabaleta had a good game, but needs to improve his final ball. Very good result and should get fill the team with confidence.

Here the goals for them who didt see:

Can't believe what Tony Cottee just said. Apparently it was a foul for the penalty.

oh dear.

It was soft , and the Fulham player made the most of it , as you'd expect .... but quite why Zabeleta even made any contact is beyond me , another City player was close enough to have covered.

Wonder why dzeko ran over to lescott?

I bet lescott said to him before he came on " u will score the winner here mate"

This, OR they had a bet pre-match :)

Major result today, i think that's the start of a good run for us, that was a typical key-match performance.
Silva and Zaba men of the match imho.
Silva at last getting closer to his former self. He hardly lost any ball, confident in his dribbles and always an available solution in spaces. The next step for him would be to improuve his final ball delivery.
Zaba 's workrate was first class as usual.

What's bothering me at this moment is Garcia.
I'm affraid he's an absolute waste of cash since he brings no improuvement to our squad and seeing he's already 25, he should be in his prime years by now, which is disappointing.
It really shined today, we played a bus-parking-team, and as a deep lying MD, he brought nothing new to the table ( comparing to NDJ and Barry ).

Nastasic also looked confident and his clearances and distribution was good. Very calm unlike Savic. Looked calmer than Kompany today. Can't say that he played better though.
