Full Backs?

Kolarov comparisons in that defending is not his forte,he's quick though so he bails himself out many a times..He could play LWB maybe as he's good going forward.
Injury worries around Grimaldo too, ruptured his cruciate in 2013 and was out for an year and now this abdominal injury and has been out since November, but is back now.A risk either way,but just feel he's a better fit for us as he's played in midfield before, for Barca B.
Ah. Got it. Grimaldo is by far the best fit if health wasn't a concern :(

What I've seen of Kolasinac I like, a proper defender. Also played CB and DM earlier in his career as well, no brainer on a free. Also played behind Leroy last season, so will know each others game well.

I think if we get him he'd come in as CB.

Total no brainer, get him signed up and quickly. Sane must have told him had a chat with him as well.

We are definitely getting this guy. I can sense it.
Kolasinac and Fabinho would be a promising start to the window. Both have the ability to step into midfield from full back, both seem to have the ability to pick a pass without cacking themselves, both are of a good height, which I always think is a nice bonus with a fullback as it means we can still play a load of midgets further up the pitch and still have the height to defend set pieces, both are versatile, both have a certain steel about them, which I feel we currently lack in our starting 11. Would appear to be good choices. Kolasinac could even play left sided CB. Basically filling the hole in the squad that Laporte was wanted for and that Kolarov had to then fill instead.

I'd be happy if we got him and Grimaldo/Hernandez for the left back positions, Fabinho/Henrichs and Maffeo as backup for right back and Tah/Lemos/Laporte for centre back.

get Kolasinac for free, and sign another young LB, like Gaya or Hernandez.
move Kolarov to CB permanently.
and City are set on the left back, definitely will improve the weakest link in the team.

Kolasinic for free +1
Mangala for Gaya +1
Kolarov to CB? -1
Henrich or Kimmich +1

Maffeo as back up, retain Navas as a fullback and we are good for next season

Can't see Navas staying to be fullback, more likely he's going back to Sevilla.

I'd like to thrown the Hernandez brothers from Atletico into your equation. Tolmie has hinted that we after brothers. Theo Hernandez plays left full back. Same as Kolasinac.
I don't believe Kimmich is a realistic option. Henrichs is though, and he plays a right full back. So does Maffeo. That would be 2 new fullbacks for each side. Gaya is also a left full back, so he would be an alternative to Hernandez or Kolasinac. I am hoping for Hernandez because I would love to get him and his brother together to address our center back situation at the same time.

Regarding Kolasinac I think it is interesting that he does not play any more for Schalke since the rumors about City started. I think Schalke knows he is going and therefore chooses to play his replacement, which is another young guy called Thilo Kehrer.

I can't wait to have some competent full backs, they are so key to how Pep want's to play and we are definitely being held back this season with the ones we have. Sagna has been ok and Zabba in patches but otherwise it has been dreadful.

Occasions yesterday were quite frankly embarrassing, that Clichy pass near the end summed him up unfortunately. Good player overall for us but well past it now. Don't get me started on Navas either, fastest player in the world at running forward 20 yards then putting his foot on the ball and passing it backwards. He is not a RB so he is being put out to dry by Pep by playing him there against both Sanchez and Hazard in consecutive games. I understand Zaba doesnt have the pace but he at least knows how to position himself.

I have concluded Kolasinac and Hernadez should be our Left back purchases.

It makes sense. 20 million pounds for 2 starting caliber Left backs. 1 is 23 and the other 19. I reckon Hwenadez will be the starter by seasons end, but Kolasinac can start now and take over from Kolarov as the LCB in a year..

RB: Maffeo and Heinrich

Altogether, our fullback overhaul cost 35 million. 4 fullbacks with 15 million in change. (When compared to the cost of just buying Rose)

I think Mendy might be a more affordable, reliable option to Hernandez. RM has showed interest in Hernandez, his parent club is atletico, so I expect him to cost a ridiculous amount.

He has a release clause of 24-25 million Euros so no, It would make sense to go for him because he has all the makings of a truly world class full back, and when I say WC I mean Marcelo, Alves level.
