Future Strikers

He can play on the left. Though I believe he is better on the right. He's more of an inside forward than a true winger.
Do you think he's good enough for a top 6 team? He's looked impressive when I've seen him, admittedly not very much, and he's got pace to burn. Pace is something I think we lack without Sane.

Been (relatively) lucky with Aguero’s injuries, but he’s just hit 32 and might be out for a while now.

Replacing Toure, Hart, Kompany, Silva has all been difficult (KDB, Ederson, Laporte, Bernardo/Foden) but we’ve done well. Now We’ve got arguably the hardest job, with replacing the most prolific striker in the league, when goalscoring strikers are at an all time low (really struggling to think of a player under 27 who consistently hits 20 league goals a season).

Love Jesus and he adds a huge amount to the team, but he’s not a 25 goals a season striker (at least not yet). Interesting who we go for...

Jesus was playing mostly as a winger when we bought him. We also were apparently close to signing Aubameyang first, before Pep changed him mind last minute & went for Jesus.( not sure if the timeline is correct)

why do you think Pep went for a winger that he could turn into a striker? Jesus said himself that he still had to control his tendencies to drift wide & that he's very different from Aguero.

do you think Pep wants another "Striker similar to Aguero" to replace Aguero/compete with Jesus?

Because I believe that Jesus "not being" someone who could score 25 goals a season is "Fine". He does the most important thing extremely well:
adds a huge amount to the team.

I reckon if the Jesus of today had had a full season as no1 striker he'd probably get quite a lot of goals in one season. When Aguero moves on though it's important we bring someone in who keeps Jesus on his toes and provides competition and rotation options. That might not be for another full season though yet.

Don’t know if Pep wants another striker, but we need one. Unless he says he’s going to be here for another 3 years, the next manager will want more than just 1 striker. I would of said give Sterling another go as False 9 but his form has dropped and he doesn’t need the pressure of being the main goalscorer in the team.

More than happy with Jesus, but having one striker and a 32 year old injury prone striker is risky.

Deffo have the potential to be world class. Not only someone who's quick and techncial. His desicionmaking is top notch

why would Pep buy all these young talent, waste time developing Foden, if he's just going to leave before seeing them rise to their potential...
Where would he even go? You don't have to worry about Pep leaving anytime soon because when you actually think about it... logically it doesn't make much sense at all tbh.

False 9 is the type of player we're after for 3rd choice striker this summer.
The main focus of our striker is to facilitate & assist the main scorers(Attacking Midfielders & Inside Forwards)

Any goals the strikers score(which Jesus has the potential to be very good at if he improves his composure) is an added bonus.

we also have a pretty talented 17 year old lad in the academy that plays as a normal striker.

False nine you say? Havertz is ideal
