Kagawa (21) made his debut for Borussia Dortmund against us in a pre-season match (iirc). He played great, and helped them beat us quite convincingly.

Götze is one of the most highly rated 18 year olds in the world, attacking midfielder (preferring central role, but would be good in any of our current 3 attacking support roles), very fast.

Both of these players have great techniques, and would fit into our style of play and would not clash with the style of silva/yaya/balo(/potentially dzeko, but I've not completely made up my mind yet) - who our future success is currently modeled around.

Götze was recently linked with utd in some british newspaper - obviously a false report. He was linked with city a few months earlier.

I was hoping we could raid BVB for either of these players this month. I think there is a good chance that Götze will have the big clubs in europe chasing him this summer - a faster, younger, right footed version of what could become a player with the ability of david silva/andres iniesta.

Had Kagawa not been injured, I'd of definitely wanted to bring him in as cover for silva and now AJ.

Both of these players seem versatile and good enough, in my opinion. Either of these (preferably Götze) in the summer, and I will be very happy.

Yep, both are great shouts. Gotze in particular looks special from the handful of times I've seen him this season.

You have to think with Dormund flying high that they will stay for Champions league involvement. They can almost be guaranteed that at present, whilst we have a bit of work still to do

I've been harping on about Götze for about half a year now - on twitter and to friends.
One of the most exciting and talented young players I've seen for quite some time. Dying to see him for City...

Kagawa I doubt we can shake lose. he is already a serious part of their arsenal. But Gotze is like Balo. An extremely talented young guy they could keep or sell for lots of money if they are comfy with what they have.

He will cost a pretty penny though. Unless he has just 1 more year on his contract like it was rumored earlier

Wouldn't surprise me if their coach gets a bigger club job, if that happens a raid of Dortmund is possible, but I'd go for their defenders. In high scoring German league, it's the defending that's winning them the title.

Kagawa is a very good little attacking midfielder, built and play similar to those Modric, Nasri, Silva in the mixed. Currently out injured for the rest of the season because of injury in the Asian Cup. Said many times in this forum that we need someone like this to play in midfield alongside Silva, he'll improve speed and intelligent play in our midfield a lot.
