Götze/Kagawa

Dax

As you know I have been pushing Subotic and Hummels on here for sometime and you have suggested we have no chance of getting either of them. Why would we have a better chance of getting either of these 2? I'm still sticking with my original list of purchases... Lol.

Coentrao, Subotic, Loach, Sanchez, Rodwell

Don't think we do. Just highlighting their talent. However, both Kagawa and Goetz play as part of the attacking midfield three behind the lone striker. Generally it is Grobkruetz, Kagawa, and one of Goetze, Lebanowski, Blasykowski (sp) Da Silva and Zidan. so clearly they have 7 guys who can play in the 3 positions. Meaning they could sell one. They'd probably release Da Silva at the end of the Season, and are more likely to be interested in selling Zidan (especially in light of the rise of Kagawa and Goetze). But I doubt they will sell either Goetze or Kagawa. The Chairman has already stated that all the Goetze suitors are wasting their time as he is not for sale at any price. So Nope, I don't think we have any chance of getting either.

As for Subotic and Hummels, that is their starting CD pairing, and they are headed to Champions league and perhaps German champions. What reason would they have for breaking up the best CD pairing in Germany. Both are 22, having a fantastic season, and just recently signed contracts. There is no way they sell either. To be honest, the only Dortmund players that look buyable to me are, Zidan (redundant since the rise of Kagawa/Goetze), and Lucas Barrios their present striker (I believe they will look at possibly upgrading there, and have fantastic young talent to support whoever they bring in in Le Tallec and Lebanowski (who like kagawa can lead the line too)

So, Goetze, Hummels, Subotic, Sahin, Kagawa, Schmetzel, Groeruetz, Sven Bender are almost certainly not going anywhere. They might upgrade at striker, Goalkeeper and rightback. They really don't have a rightback, Piscteck a right mid naturally plays that position right now (however he has been quite good).

I see no circumstance in which either would be given up

I wouldn't be too sure.

You can say all you like about how they're vital to the team, and how Dortmund would be mad to get rid of any of their best players, but ultimately, they're ambitious young footballers. I think Götze's head could be turned by a big club, but it'd have to be the right one.

It's obvious he's good enough to be playing first team football, and wouldn't move somewhere to just be a benchwarmer and I think at a few of Europe's biggest clubs, he'd get the opportunity to play a lot of first team football.

He will get 1st team football at Dortmund

When the dust settles this is probably how they'l line up next season

Pischeck..Subotic..Hummels..Shmetzel
..........Sven Bender.....Sahin.................
....Goetze.....Kagawa....Groebrutz
...............Barrios............................

Götze is a major talent and i would love to see us sign him. However, the reasons why this is a no-goer IMHO. 1) As far as i know Götze has a contract until 2014. 2) No point in Jürgen Klopp moving to another job in Germany except to Bayern and they've just just signed Heynckes for the next two seasons. 3) Dortmund seem to be getting their finances back in order thanks to crowds of 80,000 and a policy of buying young relatively unknown players. 4) They're going to win the league and this team will probably dominate for years to come. 5) Dortmund have the best fans in Germany (even though i follow Stuttgart). Still a huge offer could negate all the above ...

Forgot to say that Dortmund are a big club in terms of history before someone mentions him being tempted by a move to a big club. The step up from them would be restricted to the usual 5-6 clubs in Italy, Spain & England.

Götze is pretty much hyped and at this Stage overrated. Remember, Dortmund didnt handled the Europa League Group because they Players didnt have the Quality needed for International Competions. This Bundesliga Season is crazy, Dortmund was the Team who took the avg of it.

Correct. Its would be overpriced offer, must be. They are extainding Contacts for all their Players. Btw. He sayed this also: Götze bestätigt: „Ich bleibe beim BVB“.

Dominate? Bayern is the non-plus-ultra there, the untouched #1 and will be. They dominated last Year in every game, like Dortmund now is doing. Acctually Bayern played more offesive Football (Goals statistics are saying that), but didnt managed the Defence.

The really interessting Fact is, Bayern was allways bad after a World Cup Year. Look tho the History. Their 13 Players has been in South Aftica.

Also look the injures:

Robben: 7 Months (at once)
Ribery: 4 Months (2+1+1)
Olic: 8 Months (at once, from November)
Schweinsteiger (at least 4 Weeks, 1+2+1)
Badstuber 3 Months (from November)
Klose has 4 or 5 injures after the WC

There are more but i do not remember all correct.

How many injures did Dortmund have? None! Kagawa is out since 15. December, and Barrios was 3 Weeks injured, thats all. Bayerns Players from the 2nd Squad was more injured then Dortmunds.

There are going to dominate shit next Year, thats not because i have something against Dortmund. But the Team doesnt have that Quality, its playing on a Tsunami and the Bundesliga is fucked up this Year.
Bayern is the sun there, everything rotates about them. If they play compact and a well orginized Defence then the Title is theirs. Dortmund will have to prove the Quality thing, and it will fail on it.

Thats personally, i myself think Eintracht Frankfurt has the best Fans. Someone else will say, St.Pauli or Schalke has them, others will say the Champions League at Munich is the best. Its just personal taste of what you like.

I dont think Dortmund will dominate for years. Bayern are still stronger..but their defence is leaking. Bayern will spend big in the summer and get to the top where they belong.

Also..Götze has already stated that he would love to play for a big club like.....dare i say it??....manchester united :(

Hummels has also said that he would be tempted if a big club from england, italy or spain came in for him.

The club wants to keep their best players for the CL... but some of them will want to leave at some point and the club cannot stop them.

Im sure we will see plenty of bundesliga stars moving in the future...probly this summer already.

Yes! But I doubt many from Dortmund will move. They are having a special run. Maybe if it all doesn't click next season, then the move bug will burn. But right now they are all towing the line. And for a good reason.

I didn't doubt that at all; I was just speculating as to his ambition as a player. Of course he could get first team football at Dortmund - he could get first team footy at 99.99% of clubs, including many bigger than Dortmund. The guarantee of Champs league footy and some ambitious moves in the transfer market from Dortmund could be all he needs to be re-assured, but if he did want to move, could you really blame him?

When i say they are going to dominate for years it may seem a ridiculous statement. However, i feel this is a strong possibility if they can keep Kloppi and retain what is a very young and talented squad. They have shown inexperience this year, flying out of the europa-league at a very early stage (no bad thing), but they will improve, so god help the rest if they don't raise the bar. Die Bundesliga is a bit fucked up this year, but they have also been 10+ points in front of their nearest rival and around 15 points in front of Bayern for the whole season. Regarding Bayern, they have shown themselves to be over-reliant on Robben and Ribery. When they are injured, they look distinctly average. Their defence is collectivey one of the worst in the league, they haven't got a decent keeper of note (well, not until the summer anyway) and if Schweinsteiger doesn't turn up they get overrun in midfield. This is 'probably' the worst Bayern team i have seen in my 12 years in Germany and it will take a couple of years to get them strong again, although i trust Heynckes to do that. Anyway, all a bit off subject. Götze remains for me a real talent who will only get better and would look a lot nicer in blue ;O)
