St Kentigerns have long ago folded. Cousins played for them at Hough End.I will remember that one next time I get asked about the Gaelic or the Hurling.
By the way did anybody play Gaelic football over here in tje 80's. I played for the Oceans (forgive me if I spelt it wrong) and there was another club St Kentergans if I remember rightly. We played on Hough end. I very much doubt they still exist.
You will have played for Oisins who still have a men’s side and also I think a women’s team. Maybe play at Old Bedians in East Didsbury?
St Lawrence’s based at Turn Moss in Stretford still have a full range of teams from primary school age onwards. Probably the healthiest club in Manchester in terms of numbers.
St Brendan’s still have a senior team iirc and there is a team based at Sale rugby club whose name escapes me.
St Mary’s in Levenshulme used to play at Cringle Fields but are struggling for players these days.
John Mitchel’s in Liverpool just about hanging on.
The biggest problem in the North West is the lack of dedicated facilities. Not even toilets never mind changing rooms at most places. We have nothing like the GAA centres in Birmingham and London, despite the Gaa being awash with money. Finding a decent accessible site in Manchester is the big problem apparently
