Congratulations to Serie A Champion elect Jesus !

What a way to go out ahead of the next chapter of his career ... wrap it up next week and get your feet up for a well earned 4 weeks holiday kid.

Don't jinx it

Two games against mid table teams with nowt to play for to get one draw, while Santos away to the third best team in the league next week ... even City would struggle to fuck that up !

A point might not be good enough Flamengo are 5 behind

you are correct, i checked the table last night and it was 5 points, hadnt realised it was in play and Flamengo conceded an 88th min equaliser.
A point would have been enough anyway, if Flamengo had held on they still would have needed a 12 goal swing across 3 games (2 for them and 1 for Palmeiras).

Here's an updated compilation video to whet your appetite. I feel like this kid has the potential/temperament/desire (gumption if you will) to break in immediately and make an instant impact. I'm not sure whose minutes he takes or how he slots in but I definitely don't want to see him sitting regularly with Sane...

I would be very surprised if he was an instant starter (unless forced through injuries). He will need to settle with his new team mates and learn our system. Matchday is not the place to be doing that. I suspect a few sub appearances only initially

The video further illustrates that the Brazilian league is just as (if not more) physical than the Premier League—there was quite a lot of physical play that he handled very well, not to mention a fair few literal rugby and "clear out" tackles that he shrugged/rode off.

Very excited to see him in a (mostly) sky blue shirt.
