Can't believe we got him for less than 30 million, rofl
Anyone any idea what squad number he will take? Is he likely to keep the 33 he wears now?
Is this game his last one? Hope he leaves there a champion
Thanks,he'll be so proud if they do it2 more games left, but they can win the league with a game to spare tonight.
The video further illustrates that the Brazilian league is just as (if not more) physical than the Premier League—there was quite a lot of physical play that he handled very well, not to mention a fair few literal rugby and "clear out" tackles that he shrugged/rode off.
Very excited to see him in a (mostly) sky blue shirt.
I will agree the pace is different, but having met (and watched) quite a few Brazilian footballers last year while on an extended business visit I would say their strength is on par with any league in the world. The Brazilian league is like league 2 - it's physical but in a very different way. There will be players kicking lumps out of him in brazil and making tackles every game that would be red cards in the premier league.
When he gets to the premier league though, he's going to be up against much stronger and faster players though, the level of physical conditioning will be on a completely different planet - a level of physicality he'll not have come up against.
It's likely he'll immediately be put in the gym to bulk up to deal with it, but hopefully he'll still be able to contribute while he gets there.
