Let's hope Jesus can keep up with the praise he gets from everywhere. We all know by now the media, especially the British one, are great building up expectations only for them to knock him down hard if he has a less succesfull period. And trust me, that periode arrives at young ages 9 out of 10. That's why I fully understand older players like the two Ferns and Yaya try and take care and protect what seems to be a fantastic asset.

For me, the things Jesus has which 'should' ensure his success, are his toughness, his cleverness & his workrate.

If he had to score goals to be a success, like Aguero, then it's almost certainly going to hit the buffers at some point. But imo, he's the kind of player who, if you gave him 4 or 5 games at left back, he'd be just as able as James Milner to do the job.

It's like having Robinho, with Tevez' tougness, Silva's brain & Milner's attitude. Jesus will just graft & pass, if he has to, & do his best to create goals for others, even if he doesn't score for 10 games.

That gives him a great chance of riding out the bad patches imo.

That's not true as far as I can see. If an English player is any good they are hyped beyond any reasonable level. Usually they fall all by themselves because they start to believe the hype. (Sterling is different because that was just Liverpool being drama queens - just as are United and Arsenal).
 
Think Jesus has been the subject of some really good pieces of Journalism recently, so one article about him taking an Uber doesn't really bother me.

Apparently we've gained a lot of Brazilian football fans since he's come here. They absolutely adore him.
