Imagine the different opinions if he did get injured if he played more. We would never know if he would've made it through unscathed if he played for longer. Wasn't it gut wrenching seeing Kompany come back and then disappear again after a few minutes. City may have benefitted from him being on the pitch for longer. For Pep, if anything bad happened, it would've been a damned if he did play him and damned if he didn't play him situation. You can never please everyone. Haha.
Your argument falls short, because he could have been injured playing the 5-10 minutes he got, and everything would be the same.

Personally, I think it's stupid to have a player on the bench who you don't think can play 15 minutes.

If we are being honest, we can just say Pep has a penchant for being poor with substitutions.

I mean imagine Pellars making some of these subs or waiting this late. This place would have gone into meltdown.

I'm just gutted we don't have more posters from this forum as the manager.

But he doesn't? At Bayern his substitutions were almost legendary, completely changing the course of games and the outcomes of big title deciding fixtures.

Moe likely he just doesn't have the right players on the bench to make a difference yet. His choice is to stick with a bunch of players who are almost but not quite doing exactly what he wants, or bring on worse players to do the same thing.

We were in complete dominance in the second half on thursday and although not creating enough, we were still creating opportunities we should have been scoring. Very, very few managers make any subs in that situation.

Who else would you have on the bench? Better to have a player who can play 10-15 minutes than one who the manager won't pick at all.

Yeah, it has to be said that for nearly every game this season the bench has been absolutely fucking dire, nothing but defenders and Fernando. Miss the days of having 2 of Aguero/Mario/Tevez/Džeko as well as AJ and Milner to throw on.

Nolito or Nacho could have been put on and play atleast 20 minutes. Jesus came on in the 86th minute, he barely played 10 minutes.

I'm also not sure why Pep has lost complete confidence in Nolito, okay Sane has come to life on the LW, but Nolito can't even be a sub, doesn't make sense to me.

We can disagree, but personally, still stupid to have someone on the bench you don't think can play atleast 15 minutes, he had options. Won't budge on that.
