He hardly got any service though. I think him and Aguero should play together

Pellegrini's 4-2-2-2

Sane-Silva
Aguero-Jesus

But we need to buy young attacking fullbacks

our most threatening front three is:

Jesus---------Kun--------Sane

But i think that Pep likes sterlings work rate defensively and sane sometimes goes to sleep from time to time with this.

we could drop KDB and play GJ deeper.....KDB has been poor of late....though not sure he (or Kun) can do that role but GJ is more suited than Kun.

Genuinely what makes you think that's the best/most threatening front three, I mean it could very well be but there's literally nothing to base that opinion off outside of the fact they are just three very good players. You could pick out any of the teams best attacking performances this season and you'll find sterling has played a vital role in each of them(barca home, monaco home, west ham away(twice) and others yet somehow he's not threatening enough for the team. Pep doesn't like him purely because of his workrate defensively which truthfully he can be a liability at times. He likes him because he contributes to chances and goals for the team, lots of them. Whether you think he's not good enough and the others are better is a different matter but to make it out as if pep's only/main reason for consistently choosing him in the starting 11(2nd most minutes in the team) is because of work rate is just false. Twice he was clean through on goal today and jesus either over or under-hit the pass to him and had that been the other way around with sterling you wouldn't have heard the last of it.

Just to add in regards to this thread I thought gabriel jesus overall had a decent if not quiet game today but had little to work off around the box due to poor final balls by everyone including him at times and was also constantly getting fouled by the leicester defenders. The kid is going to be a leader and star either way for the team going forward and I have no doubt he can lead the line next season.

of course its my opinion.

They are certainly the best 3 in terms of finishing ability so its one way you could look at it...but intakes more than that.....sane can play on either side and Pep has now said twice that he knows GJ can play from the left and likes to do this and also does do this when playing for brazil so its something that may be in Peps mind.

Sterling does work hard and his contribution going forward is pretty good but could be a lot better especially in terms of goal (his finishing has always been a weak point and still is)

I also wasnt making out it was the only reason Pep picks him/its his only contribution...ive been very complimentary of sterling this season and i think playing with the likes of silva have rubbed off on him as he is a better all round player than he was 12 months ago.

But both him (and especially him) and the other attacking players will need to contribute more goals next season.......i can certainly see GJ doing that and I hope sane will but again, Sterlings one downfall is his finishing at times.......its something that needs to improve and at this moment he doesn't have it in him...he doesn't have that killer instinct at present...he could do but he is going to have to work hard to develop and change his mindset as that is part of his problem .......

Proved that we still need Sergio next season.

I really like the lad but he is still very young and will therefore have patches of good form and bad form.

(not an attack on you)

This one gets tossed around left and right. Any game of chance will have variance...it has nothing to do with age. What you're really trying to say is that young players are prone to lapses of focus and droughts of low confidence... I don't think Gabriel is very prone to this.

Nothing was proven in regards to the Sergio/GJ debate. The fact is we still haven't lost with the Sane / GJ / Sterling trio. The agg. is like 16-2 now? I hope Sergio stays and we're better off with Sergio and GJ in the lineup..I'm not so sure about that though.

I would drop Kevin for a couple of games and play with Jesus behind Aguero. See how that works.
