I'll add on to this. We're 4-0-0 with Sane/GJ/Sterling starting with an aggregate score of 14-1 (to be fair it's palace twice, swansea, and west ham). I'm far more confident when hes starting honestly. Interesting decisions coming for Pep if Kun is fit for the remaining three games.

I think there's two possibilities.

Either (a) Aguero just doesn't bring others into play well enough or (b) When Sergio Aguero, goal machine isn't on the pitch, the others take on more of the goalscoring responsibilities.

I think the only way to find out is for him to be out of the team for a while and maybe this is the opportunity for that.

I think it's 100% both. I ran the numbers a while back and we scored just as many goals per game with Kun than without him (over 40 games missed). How is that possible? For the reasons you just said. I'll compare it to basketball. If you have a shoot first point guard then the team won't work as hard. Why make all the cuts, track back, and move the ball around if it's getting stuck with one guy? It's human nature to stop working so hard if you aren't in on the action. Kun's instinct is shoot, shoot, shoot. Everyone knows this so they naturally don't expect to get the ball back in good spots (within reason). With GJ they know he'll look to make a play if it's there and the energy from everyone around him picks up because of it. I'm nearly positive but like you said we'll find out.

Kun has gotten MUCH better but he's just not as instinctive at sharing the work load like GJ is. The only way Kun makes up for this is if he's a massively better goal scorer than GJ and I don't believe that to be the case.

That's just me though. I've been on the GJ over Kun bandwagon from day one. I don't know about everyone else but I'm more confident with GJ than Kun if it's a choose only one.

It's an odd game this football lark. Sergio and Big nose are 2 of the highest scorers in the league, yet their teams are better without them!!!

Excellent point there.

We've struggled all season to get the attacking midfielders involved in the goals, and I think he played a big part in bringing them into the game today, not least wth his assist for KDB.

Keep him playing and we'll keep winning.

Yep. I will get slammed for this but if you swap him with Aguero we don't score those goals. Anyone who watches that game and still asks why we might sell Aguero...well I will just leave it at that.

A wonder where we'd be without Kun since apparently were a better team without him.

But aren't we? The manager thinks so. I do too and I thought GJ would be better suited before he even played a game. He's proven us correct so far and he'll continue doing so imo.

We're playing well yes. But regardless of our other players struggling to score. We will need a 20+ goalscorer in the team and it will be foolish to rely on just Jesus to help us with that.

I think we've exhausted the Kun leaving debate. The question is does he want to stay if it's obvious that he's the second choice. We'll surely replace him if he wants to leave. We'll see how these final three games play out. Personally, I think we will continue dominating with the S/GJ/S lineup.
