Had he been playing for the Rags I can guarantee that your "love in" for this player would have been different had the Rags claimed he was world class.
I just wish people would remove this nonsense from their vocabulary.
He is NOT world class ... yet.No where near.
He could be.
I keep hearing well he`s only 22 years of age.So what.Messi and Ronaldo he is not ... for now.

The issue with the rags is you score 5 goals in 50 games there and you are the next big thing and thats why we take the piss.

His goals record in incredible for a lad his age.

Full Brazil international and we got him for relative peanuts.

Forgive a few of us for being excited about his future.

My problem isn`t with his future, that will be up to him.
But for people to say that the lad NOW is world class is just plain daft.
In order to be world class you need to continually be at the top of your game and show that you are capable of performing at a very high level against the top teams.
To date he has done neither ... that doesn`t mean he wont ... but until he does people need to remove the tag that he is ALREADY a world class player.
Nothing could be further from the truth. He needs to take a leaf out of Raheems book. Will he become this world superstar ? That will be solely down to him.

20 goals in 40 appearances for us says very differently im afraid.

We dont play the dog and duck every week, we play in probably the best league in the world and we play in the CL against Europes finest.

A lad of his age and his record comes on the market tomorrow and you will pay £100M as a minimum.

He is a world class player and no amount of you telling us he isn't is going to change that fact.

So lets get this straight, you believe he is ALREADY in the same league as Messi,Ronaldo,Ronaldinho,Owen,Shearer, etc.
Dear oh dear,oh dear. You do wear those blue tinted specs if you seriously believe that.
YCNMIU but you evidently do.
We could go on about this for ever,so in the best interests its safe to say,we will have to agree to disagree about the lads current standing.

Yep the blue tinted specs argument wins the day every time.

I've literally no comeback, you win.

I could have added i also think the MEN is a rag loving load of shite but i think that would have sent you over the edge along with me thinking Gabby is a world class player.

I think he has world class potential, but really needs to up his game by taking chances he should be scoring. Tap ins arn't the most convincing goals, and I'm not getting giddy he's scored 5 against a championship and a league one side, good headed goals though.

I agree with oatcake. A top striker will have a good level of consistency in playing the top sides, and the ability to score a varying range of goals. Besides, the best strikers make goals happen when least expected. Aguero has this, and can score with both feet from range. The goal against Liverpool was so precise from an acute angle, only a handful of world strikers have that in their locker, Jesus doesn't right now.

I don't want to come across as though I'm slating Jesus, I'm just saying it as I see it on the lad right now. I'd be delighted for him to become an undisputed word class player, but right now it's a no from me.

Tap ins arn't the most convincing?

Do we get extra style points for 35 yarders now?

He is the fox in the box. His game is based on quick one touch passing and movement and being in the right place at the right time and its normally in the box.

Those goals this week were just what he needed. He’s been snatching at chances like strikers do when low in confidence. It isn’t easy for a kid like Gabby to keep that killer instinct when he’s in and out the side and playing second fiddle to Sergio.

Come off it. Half of his tap ins I could back heel in the net with my fishing waders on. I want to see bulging of the back of the onion bag from 30 yards.
