I can't put my finger on what it is hat concerns me about Jesus, he seems to be stagnating a little but if you look at his stats they are very good.

He needs a run of games but it's hard to see ow he will get them while Aguero is in the form of his life.

I suspect this next 6 months is going to be make or break for him.

Not quite sure what I am reading over these past few pages, the lad needs a run of games to get his goal scoring touch (Aguero is afforded this luxury so why not Jesus). He scored a CL hat trick and then hasn't been rewarded since until today which is quite disappointing.

Whilst Aguero is here he will overshadow Jesus, I am sure Pep is very happy with the job he is doing, he is making so much space for Sane and Sterling.

Love the lad but not cutting the mustard at the mo. Odd bits of link up play today but unfortunately not involved enough.

Jesus is very reliant on the ball being played into him and runners off him. He functions best with De Bruyne playing into and off him. His goal scoring form is down to that in my opinion. He is also a lot better with another alongside him playing off him.

He will get there. Anyone writing him off needs to remember Sterling couldn't score for shit for a long time. Jesus has great awareness of the players and space around him and technical ability to instantly control and turn. He can beat a man and the goals will come. Not many are prolific at his age and his contribution to the team is still good. He is in a bad patch in front of goal, despite his 3 against Shakhtar, but the goals will come and he never lets his head drop. Just coming back from a knock and in a much changed 11 so not surprised he struggled to make a huge impact.

I have faith he will come good though but he always looks better when someone is playing off and around him. Whether that be Neymar for Brazil of Aguero/De Bruyne for us.

He’s good enough to make it here but his confidence does seem rather low at the moment.

He’s unlucky in some respects as Aguero, much like Merlin, has seemingly improved with age.

I think he has played well in his last few appearances. Showed some great touches today with some clever play. Think he will surprise a lot of people in the coming months and remember he is still very young.

Well according to Pep, he'd play with Aguero if Mendy could ever stay fit for longer than a week.

Jesus is fine, and will be fine, just needs a run of games.

Thought he had another poor game yesterday and offered very little.
I'm not doubting his effort but at one stage he was on his arse near the touchline of the half way line trying to get the ball. Needed to be subbed and was.
He spends a lot of time on the floor and for me he has a lot of bad games but he is young still.

Pep on Jesus:
“He just needs to relax. I love his work ethic. I said to him: the work out on the pitch will sustain him. He helps us a lot. I am delighted. Football is not for one player the reason why he plays bad. Gabriel is a delight.

He’s young, the same as the others ones, he will improve because has the desire to improve and that is important. He helped us a lot. A lot. Yes, strikers are judged on goals but we needed his runs – he made a thousand million runs in behind!”

Put himself about very well tonight, worked tirelessly and set mahrez up superbly.

Yes he should have scored but the 'kid' needs a break, nothing more.

He bagged a hat-trick in one of the last games he started so he should be full of confidence. He needs to up his game though because we could easily upgrade him at the minute and he's doing himself no favours missing sitters like tonight.

He missed two massive chances at a time where it would have killed the game and subsequently nearly cost us two points. He's not doing enough, he's playing for the best team in Premier League history and who's be scoring more than one Premier League goal when you consider the quality of chances he's getting. No way would I start him Saturday.
