Union have more consistent and better referees and they've seen the injuries multiple times, it is foul play already in football and a red card offence in that situation yesterday (deliberate denial of a GSO through foul play) but the referees don't apply the law and probably won't until someone gets killed or paralysed. In a high profile game.I've always found it odd that it's not considered serious foul play. In Rugby Union it's an automatic yellow card to play the man when he's in the air ffs.
