Gabriel Jesus return from injury

I agree, but if the manager was spending his time worrying about it, he'd be able to give the most recent update.

Pep had to go & find out.

Imo, that's because he is totally occupied by winning games, with whatever 11 he has available, not looking for excuses about injuries or signings, like most managers.

Mancini had exactly the same attitude, allegedly he used to completely blank injured players.

Don't even think about it Karen least of all mention it on here.

We have coped well with injuries and suspensions to date , no reason why we can't keep going.

Pep rarely mentions Delph in recent times and he is important to get back as well.
If we can get Delph back soon, I'd be happy to see Zinchenko given a chance further upfield to help fill the gaps there until we get the injured players back.

I’d be fairly happy to see him play LW/LM as, given his recent defensive showings, he would lock down that side whilst also providing possession control, great crossing, and a few Kolarovesque long shots to keep the opposition honest (and open up the box for runs from our forwards). He could rotate with Diaz until Sane and Jesus recover.

It would be interesting to see what he can do in his natural position.

The brace is finally off.

Would love to have him fit for the cup final vs Arsenal.

With the players available it seems a return to 3-5-2 would be a suitable option. Suddently we have a glut of centre halves and two full backs more suited to pushing on.

It is a formation we should consider. Allows Walker and Zinchenko/Danilo licence to get forward and Sterling Bernardo and Aguero to have more freedom.

Having said that I cannot see Pep changing things. For me we would be a better side with Sterling Diaz and Bernardo the front three and dropping Aguero who just seems to either slow play or take the wrong option. Yes sterling missed a sitter but he gets into good positions more than aguero and that is the main thing.
