Translated from Globoesporte,

The rivalry between Real Madrid and Pep Guardiola won another chapter after the coach of Manchester City have called for Palmeiras Gabriel Jesus, who was the target of the current European champion. According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the coach has already adopted this tactic before and has angered many big clubs of the continent by contacting directly with young people of interest.
In a call in the Sunday edition of the cover, the daily says, "Guardiola, Real enemy Gabriel Jesus sign with the City.. The Catalan coach becomes the main real obstacle in recruiting young prospects"
According to the report, Guardiola also called the young Norwegian Odegaard, when he was at Bayern Munich, and you promised regular performances in the main German club team to try to convince him to go to Germany. But the boy, now 17, chose to accept the offer from Real Madrid last year.
Another case cited by the "Brand" is the German half Sané, 20, Schalke. According to the newspaper, the tactic worked with Sané and Gabriel Jesus, who accepted the arguments Guardiola and only awaiting agreement between their clubs and Manchester City to formalize transfers.
"The Guardiola method - call players under contract - begins to annoy the big Europe, starting with Real Madrid, who sees the city as one of its major rivals in the future both in recruiting reinforcements, as the time to fight for. Champions. the City is building a timaço to conquer Europe, "says the report in the Spanish newspaper.
The "Brand" gives for granted the way of Gabriel Jesus for the Manchester club in January after the onslaught of Guardiola, and also said that Pep is eyeing two athletes from the Royal own: Dani Carvajal and Toni Kroos.

Real Madrid calling out someone else - think they'd better look a bit closer to home before casting such dispersions - they have been close to more dodgy deals, underhand payments and financial irregularities than anyone. Ask Isco's father - I bet he got the underhand payment he was demanding from us - from Madrid ! YCMIU.

It is saying the deal is almost done. No signature yet. Which is the point Flappers were making. Yes more likely than not he will sign the contract. But claiming something is done when you are not sure has become the norm in this forum.

If you have proof of say an introduction video being recorded with him ( I.e like some had seen Gundogan's and Nolito's) Yes you can infer from that a done deal. But inferring done deals from claims that a deal is close to completion is simply jumping the gun, even if you'd be right most of the time.

This rant really isn't about Gabriel or any acquisition. It's about speaking or should I say writing styles. People are generally too quick to call things "done." When 'in fact' that is not currently the case.

Personally, I'd rather folks (granted it is in good faith) tell me exactly what the current facts are as opposed to a conclusion they or their sources derived from those facts.

For example, here are 2 done deal scenarios:

"I saw the video of his interview for City, from that I inferred a done deal."

"His agent's are in town and have accepted personal terms and just checking out the hospital he'd do his medical in, from that I inferred a done deal"

Both facts above can be used as basis for saying 'done deal' And while the deal in both scenarios may get done eventually. If I had those 2 facts as opposed to someone's conclusions, I'd in my head consider 1 done, and 2 likely but not done.

Actual facts matter! End of Flap. If this could be considered one.
Chill, it's a done deal.

I never presented the video as evidence of anything. Once again, there are numerous sources that have been stating this is a done deal for weeks now. MARCA stated it today alone.

I never did this.

How many trusted journalists and sources need to say it's a done deal before you accept it's a done deal? Even the club has confirmed the stories about Gabriel Jesus to City.

Ultimately, you're free to believe what you want, but that doesn't change that this is a done deal.

Hopefully put some minds at rest about this!;)

Agent: ‘Gabriel Jesus very close to City

“Is it done with Manchester City?” Cristiano Simoes considered in an interview with Calciomercato.

“I can say that we’re defining some contractual issues, we’re working on that.

“Could he go to Inter? We’re very advanced with Manchester City. We’ll see.”
