Any player costing more than £10m gets a work permit, part of the new rules introduced last year.

Also Nolito is a winger and this kid is more of a striker from what I've heard.

So I'm not sure about that theory.

He looks sharp though.

played an equal amount of games at left wing and striker this season. So plays both hence I don't think there's a need for him and Nolito and maybe Auba and Sane and Sterling and everyone else we have.

my preference would be Aubamayang who is a better player than Nolito and either Jesus or Sane to supplement what we have

Id also sell Navas in a heart beat to make way for any of these and hopefully wherever Pellegrini ends up he will come back and take Navas with him (don't think he is stupid enough to take Bony and Kolorov with him as well).

I doubt we will get all 4, but we probably need 3 of the 4.

his highlights real is impressive and thats all I've seen of him (never heard of him before we were linked with him)

Looks to have a touch of the robhino about him (but with more pace and strength in his running style).....

A touch of the mario with his arrogance/assurance of his finishing as well (the good part of Marios self belief/arrogance)

As always with Brazilians the question will be can he adapt to the physicality of the prem league........

Peps record with young players is good so why not. What i don't want is for us to sign him and immediately farm him out to another club....its ok being a promising youngster but lets get ones that are promising that are at least good enough to play for our EDS and that may push for first team.
Have you watched the Brasileirão? It's a pretty physical league and the refs let a lot of fouls go without blowing a whistle. Partly why a lot Brazilians and other South Americans dive and exaggerate so much just to get a call.

Could be our Douglas Costa on the wings - would love for it to happen. It's someway off right now though.

This lad and Navas can sort out who is Jesus, could throw long held beliefs into doubt if there are two of them. :-)

no never seen that league.....

if he can handle it then thats another plus point for the lad

I don't see the comparasion between Costa and Fernan.
Both weren't hyped up and stuck out in the Ukraine, moved to bigger clubs and worked their way into the national team, that's my comparison. Jesus isn't like Douglad Costa, never seen those two linked together

I'm talking about their playing styles - not their career routes. Gabriel Jesus and Costa both are tricky wingers very much in the Brazilian mould.

I was telling a friend about this last night. Pep always likes having a player who can take defenders 1v1. I think if we picked this kid up he would be our Kingsley Coman

In a pep system, both sterling and Navas would be able to beat defenders.

The key is how you get the ball to them. Bayerns entire game plan is focused around creating situations where the winger is up against an isolated fullback.

They get the ball early 1on1, with space to run into, and the managers permission to risk losing the ball in the process of getting past.

If you put a fullback up against our current two in a vacuum, most of the time they'll beat them - Sterling did it for fun at Liverpool and he beat the Russian RB half a dozen times last week. Even Navas can do it if he's got space to use his pace effectively and he gets the defender running backwards.

The reason they don't do it now is because our transitional play is so incredibly slow, that our forwards get the ball standing still, around the 18 yard box, with no space to run into and double marked because the defence is completely set and behind the ball.

Pep will change that, and whoever we have on the wing will be 10x the player they would have been under Pellegrini.

I do completely agree though - Gabriel Jesus seems he could beat players for fun.
