Didn't see the first half but I think the game passed him by a bit when he was playing as a central striker in the second half.

Looks more comfortable in a wide position, but I'm sure he could learn to play a central role. The ability is clearly there.

I thought the game passed Brazil by. Like watching City last season.

his name is not "Kleber Gladiador", gladiator is just a nick he earned because he is very embattled in the game.

Yea, he will learn to drop deeper over time but he has the most freedom out wide. I was noticing though, was the large Santos contingent(Neymar included) were passing amongst themselves when GJ was a better option.

I noticed that too actually, when Gabriel was in a central position waiting for the ball to feet as a player was coming inside he'd often be bypassed, yet once he went outside and rotated with another lad (don't know the name) who then came central, Neymar didn't hesitate to play it to his feet for a one two.

Maybe I was reading too much into it, but I was puzzled as to why he didn't get the ball to feet when the chance arose a few times. Maybe it's because he's not as much of a physical presence and there was a concern about him getting out muscled and losing possession?

I thought his movement could've been a bit better when he was in that central role though, to be fair.

Definitely a natural wide player/inside forward, but he clearly has great technical ability, and I'm sure it's a position he could learn to play in if need be. A number 10 role would probably come more naturally than a 9/false 9 also.

But definitely a natural wide player who I'd expect to be coming in for us in that role on the left, or possibly a role up front in a two with the diamond in midfield (as we saw for a while against Dortmund) - much more freedom in that role to drift wide and short than as a sole striker.

I have noted that too.
Furthermore, after Felipe Anderson and Gabigol get out, Neymar starts to take individual actions all the time.

In Palmeiras Jesus plays most part of the time as a 9 false, centralized but moving intensively. Today he didn't move between defensors.
 
It's weird because naturally they should have Gabigol as the ST but the form GJ has been in they've played him their in training up to this point. They tried a 4-2-4 which is what they want to run at the Olympics with Luan(who's being scouted by Leicester and now Barca because they've missed GJ&Gabigol) but it didn't work with all the subs so they switched to a 4-2-3-1.
 
I agree with others that the game passed him by and he was a little bit sloppy with possession.

However, the positives in that were that he was willing to take risks to open up the defence. There were a couple of nice flicks and had one or two come off we'd have talking about some great skill and potentially an assist.

Despite him not being involved too much, one thing that really stands out is his work rate off the ball and willingness to TRACK BACK ;-). He was like Tevez in hounding the other team for the ball and that's exactly the attitude you need to make it to the very top.
 
Neymar was a ball hog but that lad is very very good. Pity we didn't get him.

Some great Brazilian talent on show. Couldn't catch their names though.
