Not sure how people can defend this. It is a farce whichever way you wish to spin it.
Are you serious? Open a newspaper!
And so they should. The club employs a PR department that is conspicuous by its silence.
Yes; I did read All that earlier in the thread PB. What I don't understand is that, if the club were aware of the "ownership" issues, and were still happy to go ahead with the transfer, couldn't they have been working behind the scenes to try to broker a settlement between all the parties? It's in our interest to get the problem resolved and get the lad out on the pitch PDQ.We can't register him while he's registered with another club and their season didn't finish until recently so he was registered with them until the window opened here on Jan 1st. Secondly, Palmeiras and this guy Caran, who is his former agent, are in dispute with each other over who owns this 22.5% that both claim to own. It's going through the courts in Brazil but it's not clear whether we've paid Palmeiras the 52.5% (the 30% that isn't in dispute plus the disputed 22.5%) and left them to sort it out or we aren't sure who to pay until it is sorted out.
We have signed himNot sure how people can defend this. It is a farce whichever way you wish to spin it.
Khaldoon has spoken what more do you want
They never comment on transfers so they are not going to start now as it would be foolish when we are waiting to get registration sorted,he has been training with the team so i'm sure they are enthused by him,we have a very good team as it is,putting all this pressure onto the kid is ridiculous imoWhat do we want?
Well firstly Al Khaldoon ’s quotes concern the player’s undoubted potential and ability, but don’t address the reason behind the delay.
In fact, considering that he doesn’t appear to have been asked a pretty obvious question, I’m not even convinced that the interview was undertaken today.
Secondly, we’ve just paid almost £30m for a player who will be 20 in April,(only a year younger than Neymar when he signed for Barcelona) and it’s by no means certain that City will finish in the Top Four. Our next two games are crucial, and his arrival was supposed to kick start the remainder of the season (or so I've been reading on many other threads)
If that’s not going to happen, then I want the club to communicate the reasons for the delay (even if they had no intention of playing him) rather than leaving us with anecdotal speculation and irrelevant twitter quotes.
Quite simply the most embarrassing thread on BM for a while, some of the vitriol being aimed at the club by posters who have no earthly idea of how these things proceed is pretty embarrassing really.
We haven't become one of the super elite clubs in Europe by being totally inept, grasping hands in Brazil are out of our bailiwick
