Easy lads, it was clearly a tongue in cheek comment. It wasn't the easiest chance ever, he's a 19yr kid playing in his first huge tournament in front of Brazilian fans (nutcases) so it's understandable. We should be talking about his overall play, can anyone comment on that?

It was hardly an Aberdeen-like bobble, if a bobble at all. He missed a sitter, big whoop everyone does at some point and never just the once.

It's hardly unfair or 'raggish' to call a spade a spade i.e. he missed a sitter. I'm sure he's forgotten about it so why get offended on his behalf.

And nobody is silly enough to judge him off one game in the Olympics; otherwise Barca would sell Neymar in the morning to AFC Wimbledon.

This

People that get paid a lot if money to perform in front of 50000 people need to be a bit less precious. I hope this lad doesn't get bothered by the boo boys. He may not score a hatrick on debut.

Sooo, he's shite then? No wonder the Rags sidestepped this one and went for Ibrahimovic......

Not worried about missing sitters. Everyone misses them and it wasn't the easiest of sitters either. You don't get to even the 2nd tier of Brazilian league if you miss sitters so its an anomaly.

Seen conflicting statements on this so can anyone confirm whether he's joining up with us after the Olympics or is he back with Palmeiras on loan until the end of their season in December(ish)?

I'm not too worried about 'that' miss. The best miss them. And I don't think it was as ridiculously easy as it looked. BUT.....if he'd signed for un***d wed be proper ripping shit lol

Not sure if I've missed it, but does anyone know how long his contract is for?

Yeah, it looked as though he thought the first guy was going to get it, and it skipped through a little quicker than he thought so he was just caught off guard. I am not worried about that at all. But yes, if it was United or Liverpool signing, I'd be giving it to him :D

The 19-year old has signed for Manchester City FC despite strong interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world. He will join the team in January 2017, with a contract that runs until the end of the 2020/21 season. He will remain at Palmeiras until December 2016. the OS
