We need to actually buy him first I'd have thought before he can train with us.Is he in training or having a month long break? If the latter, wont he need a mini pre season before he's ready to play?

You do realise that Peps first name is Joe!!?I dont think Pep will ask, Jesus`s father called Joe of Arimathea, Pep doesnt like Joe`s
For me I'd be using Sterling/Sane on the right
Kun in the middle
Jesus/Nolito on the left.
So much pace and skill right there.
Yeah but don't want burn out. He's probably gagging to play we do need to look at a bigger picture though.
I'd love him to start V Burnley but it probably would be in his or even the clubs best interests.
Yes, I wasnt and am not expecting he will hit the ground running and be straight into the team, I was expecting it to be like Sane and take time but you're right Pep does mention Jesus quite a lot when he talks about the future. If he joins the team in January he's already had a full month of holiday. That's much more than most players get between seasons.
I get the impression he'll play a bigger part then people are expecting, Pep is mentioning him in every press conference, sometimes more than once. When asked if things would get easier when players returned he said yes, we've got fernandinho coming back, then sergio and then Jesus.
I think this is a signing he's been waiting for - more like a 2016 summer signing arriving late than a 2017 summer signing arriving early.
+1He has played football all year round for a couple of years, he needs a break. My guess is he starts his first game in mid february, maybe he will make the bench late january.

What i mean is he has played for brazil, then played for palmeiras the next day. He will need time, but like sane i think it will depend more on his tactical awareness than fitness. No, I don't know why some people are finding this so hard to grasp, he's played no more than any other new signing, just at different times of year.
He played from February-April, had a 3 week break, played from May-December 6. That's the exact same amount of football you get in Europe, just played across an annual year, not a calendar year. Even better, his Brazil games happen mid-season, so he missed club games for international ones, unlike our internationals who play things like Euro 16 in their off-season.
By the time he joins in January he'll have played for 9 of the previous 12 months - a month less than a European signing.
I don't know when he'll first play, from the bench or starting, but it will depend much more on his learning curve than his physical fitness.

That happened once, 3 months before he's due to arrive, and with a full month off in between, if he's still feeling the effects of that we're in trouble.
I think there are two contradictory stories about this. One is from Pep, who quite rightly realises that GJ has been running his bollocks off without a rest, for a long time, so is playing down any imminent involvement.
The other is from Jesus himself, who basically wants to play v Burnley ;)
So I imagine there will be a compromise, where he gets a few minutes early in his career but is not in the starting plans.
Problem for Pep, trying to be sensible, will arise if GJ settles straight away, as people will want him in the team & it will be difficult to leave him out.
I'll let this clown off seeing as it's Christmas and he's probably just spotted a present under the tree with his name on it but fuck me it's very very bitter.Today at 11:53

He will flop, no question about it,
Hes joining the Premier League and we all know how much we play with the ball in the air, he wont have the time or space he is afforded in the Brazilian leagues and he doesn't have the physicality of someone like Martial who pretty much built for the Prem.
Hell join, have a couple of impressive moments, Pep will want him to track back and he will do it but it will be in vein as he wont be able to bully the physical players off the ball, hell be targeted by other teams as a weak link down the flanks and hell be dropped and will have a similar impact as Sane.
Nothing I have seen from him suggests otherwise, he reminds me of Neymar, bar Neymar went to the right league to improve himself and become the world beater he is today. You cant become that kind of player in the Premier League and there isnt a single case to suggest otherwise.
What's with his infatuation with 'hell'? Is he on the way there?Keep this post for future reference. One expert on ragcafe says...
